[FE17] I made Sommie out of air-dry clay!
I needed to get rid of the half-packet of clay that had been sitting in my drawer for five years :P unfortunately I made a terrible mistake of not leaving extra clay for fixing stuff so the boi is wonky
I've touched air-dry clay like six times total in my life, and the last time I touched air-dry clay was about two years ago so I don't have much experience with it lol
Sommie's proportions are rather off (body's not as round as it should be) but I'm alright with this as a whole
Ace Attorney, but it’s Aviary Attorney, but it’s Ace Attorney birds
I had a vision. (I thought about the Polly/Apollo thing too much and had to match it up with another bird character and Taka fit)
Random stuff:
- I did reference Apollo's objection sprite but it ultimately doesn't read lol
- Wing markings are hard to deal with. Polly's wing markings probably aren't identical on both sides [if you look at a scarlet macaw's wings], but who cares
- I spent a good 3 hours on this. Funnily enough tracing and recreating the speech bubbles took around as long as drawing both birds.
- I draw with a mouse and use FireAlpaca.
- I wanted to draw them in the actual Aviary Attorney style too but I currently don't have the time
- I'm wondering if whether this birb-verse would be expanded to animals in general. Missile the dog as a detective?

[Princess Mononoke] Did one of the Moro and Ashitaka scene shots in watercolour!
I'm not very good at watercolours but I dabble every once in a while. The background is kind of muddy because of that unfortunately, as well as the aspect ratio being off because I didn't bother to crop the scene to make it fit A4 paper and I'm not really satisfied with this piece as a whole, but I can't really do anything about it.
Princess Mononoke is one of the two Ghibli films I've watched so far, and it's my favourite.
Stuff used:
Mungyo watercolours (24 pan)
Copic 0.3 multiliner
Faber Castell watercolour pencils
Photos in order: Final, first sketch, first paint layer, a mid-process of me salvaging Moro after the tape tore the paper
Song By The Creek
Some Ernest & Celestine (2012) fanart! I frickin' love this movie. It's watercolour art style [which I tried to mimick here] is magnificent and the storywriting is just solid, a really heartwarming movie as a whole. I haven't been able to watch the sequel but I hope I can soon.
The background here is taken from before the rain scene where Celestine and Ernest are by the creek.
[FE17] Sommie my beloved (i forgot to post this lol)
