The Passion of Joan of Arc - Hydras Dream
On Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November the fourth edition of adventurous music festival Rewire takes place in The Hague (The Netherlands), at several locations in and around the city centre. The first names are: James Holden live, Henrik Schwarz & Nik Bärtsch, Colin Stetson, Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, Herman Kolgen & BL!NDMAN, Hydras Dream (Anna von Hausswolff & Matti Bye) and Von Nohrfeldt Ensemble. A limited number of early bird weekend tickets is now available. In the coming months, more information about the programme and locations will be revealed.
Hydras Dream (SE) Hydras Dream is a special collaboration between the Swedish singer/songwriter Anna Von Hausswolff and Swedish (film)composer Matti Bye. The idea behind their collaboration is to translate stories, films and myths into musical landscapes. Their recent album ‘The Little Match Girl’ was inspired by the eponymous story of Hans Christian Andersen. Their live performance will be complemented by visuals.
Hydras Dream's attractive experimental ambient provides a cinematic and hauntingly beautiful listening experience.
Anna von Hausswolff has proven with their latest album "Ceremony" that she dominates the grand gestures. Mighty Organ inserts her succeed as well as the docking with Scandinavian folk traditions. But whether it rises when the daughter of the eccentric Danish experimental musician Carl Michael von Hausswolff has to prove himself as a team player? In parallel with the publication of the strictly limited edition live album "Källan" on Touch Music debuts Hydras legend, the joint project of Anna von Hausswolff with the composer Matti Bye.
