I just realised Hydro Steam has the same initials as Harsh Sunlight
I think if Wake and Leaves ever appear in the anime or another TCG animation or anything (there’s no reason they would appear in another TCG animation unless that’s how they’re introduced to Pocket), Harsh Sunlight boosted Hydro Steam and Electric Terrain boosted Psyblade should have extra visual effects than their non-boosted versions
I’m not 100% certain how Max moves work but I’d assume a Max Geyser based on Hydro Steam used under Harsh Sunlight and a Max Mindstorm based on Psyblade used under Electric Terrain would still get their normal boosts from Harsh Sunlight/Electric Terrain as the damage is done before the weather changes to Rain/terrain changes to Psychic Terrain. Not that it matters too much, Hydro Steam gets the same boost under both Harsh Sunlight and Rain and Psyblade still gets a boost under Psychic Terrain (it’s just not consistent like it is with Hydro Steam although I’d rather blame that on terrains being weaker versions of weathers for different types because I prefer Wake and Leaves getting the same boosts on their signature moves). Well that’s ignoring the fact that the moment it stops being Harsh Sunlight/Electric Terrain, Wake’s Protosynthesis/Leaves’s Quark Drive wears off and there’s a decent chance the stat boosted is Wake’s Special Attack and Leaves’s physical Attack, the stats used to calculate damage dealt by their signature moves
What contest category would Hydro Steam (Walking Wake’s signature move) be?
Cool
Beautiful
Cute
Clever
Tough
Blueberry my Walking Wake using it while Terastalised against a Normal Tera type Toxapex for reference

It’s cool how some moves have a different animation when the Pokémon is swimming. Blueberry/Walking Wake usually launches Hydro Steam from its mouth but launches it from its crest when in water (it also seems to give the move less energy when used on water)
If your favourite (and second favourite) Pokémon has a signature move, you are guaranteed to love that move I swear. Can confirm, Psyblade is now my favourite move and Hydro Steam is also a cool move
I wonder how well the move Hydro Steam works in extremely harsh sunlight because it’s a Water-type move and shouldn’t have any effect but it already benefits from harsh sunlight so maybe it gets boosted as well. But honestly that conversation will annoy me until we get upgraded versions of Electric Terrain and Psychic/Grassy Terrain to boost Psyblade in return. Primal Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele/Bulu anyone?
