Hey a loooong while ago I sent you an ask about my adopted cat who overgroomed due to little kitty PTSD. Well, after a lot of thought we decided to get him a therapy kitten, (his stress was likely cause both from an abusive home and from being separated from his brother in the shelter.)
We adopted a kitten who was raised in an open concept shelter with other cats and participated in cat yoga events. Aaaaand it worked!! My cat stopped over grooming in exchange for snuggling and playing. I thought I’d send some pictures of these two nerds as an update, (Rolo is the big guy. Li'l Mac is the small lady.)
