romanticize abandoned hospitals, snowstorms, flickering hallway lights, and the feeling of being watched thru fogged cathedral windows

think the line between "god complex" and "traumatized teenager" is way thinner than ppl admit

love stories where the government is horrifying but the real horror is what it turns the children into

eat UP found family dynamics where everyone is deeply mentally ill and would absolutely die for each other anyway

wanted the "villain girl" to absolutely be terrifying, emotionally unstable, violently protective, AND secretly soft

love slowburn relationships built on knife trauma, shared trauma, late-night fires, and "i trust u with my life but not with my secrets"

are obsessed with morally gray girls who flirt while covered in blood

think body horror + psychological horror + religious imagery + doomed family legacies is the perfect combination

enjoy characters who are one bad conversation away from a complete mental breakdown at all times

love when symbolism keeps showing up everywhere

wanted more stories where immortality is treated like a curse instead of a gift

love trios where every single member is hiding something catastrophic from the others

love characters who keep saying "everything's fine" while actively spiraling into insanity

miss the era of YA dystopian novels that made you stare at your ceiling at 2am questioning humanity

want a story where teenagers are left unsupervised for 5 seconds and immediately uncover horrors beyond comprehension

believe that the best stories are the ones that leave permanent emotional damage.

HYEBILD is a love letter to broken children, doomed loyalty (and yuri), and the terrifying things ppl do in the name of survival
