when Rick wakes up in an empty hospital covered in blood, walks through the streets piled with burnt dead bodies, and finds his house empty, he thinks he's alone in this hellhole. that the end of the end of the world happened while he was asleep.
however, when he sees you sitting on the edge of a roof holding a rifle too big for you before taking out the walker that had been silently crawling up to him in hopes of getting a taste of his ankles, Rick finds himself staring at the very image of a teenage girl stuck in a constant state of hypermania. Sociopathy, BPD, or maybe just a trauma response it don't matter to him, for all he knows you're a kid that's feeling so much you've convinced yourself you don't, and he's not leaving you behind.
