     “Mitsuru… I assure you I’m perfectly fine,” Ryuto sighs. Of course, he had expected others back in the real world to worry after he unexpectedly collapsed and fell into a coma, but as soon as she caught wind of the news he had recently awoken, Mitsuru seemed to rush towards the hospital with such immediate haste, he could detect the sweat lining her brow.

     Still, considering he had divulged regretting his choice in school and expressed how terrified he was when it came to entering the next phase of his life with the knowledge that choosing one path would eliminate all other possibilities, perhaps their last conversation together ended up haunting her? After all, Ryuto recalls he was far from being happy, to the point where it may have left a lasting impression on Mitsuru.

     “The doctors are only keeping me here to run a final blood test on me, but once that’s done, I will officially be allowed to return home. Fortunately, though, my muscles haven’t atrophied yet, so physically speaking, I’m no less for wear,” he then goes on to explain while hoping it would at least assuage her concerns.

    “But more importantly, I finally know what it is I want to do. Not only is my mind clear, I am certain I won’t regret the path I have now chosen for myself.”

There were many in Liyue he’s watched grow that filled him with immense pride as if they were his own children, and Ningguang was easily one of the brightest, so dedicated to achieving anything she set her mind on.

“I do hope this is not an imposition, but on a recent consultation venture to Guyun Stone Forest I’d noticed that some of the valuables from your Jade Chamber had begun to wash ashore and it seemed only right to make certain what I could collect were returned to their rightful owner before any thieves decided to attempt to make a profit off of stolen goods.”

    “Don’t be so hard on yourself, Sayucchi,” Kobato insists while slowly emerging up to his own feet. Sure, that attack from the rampaging Digihead earlier did hurt a ton, but on the bright side, Sayuri was at least safe, which was all that really mattered to him. “’Sides... if it’s for you, I can take a few hits and there,” he then adds before managing a pained grin.

    “I mean, you know me... can’t ever be missing the chance to look cool in front of a smoking hot babe!” Despite making light of the situation, however, it’s clear as day he was only saying that to prevent Sayuri from worrying over him. Why, when it came down to it, fighting that Digihead took a lot out of him, to the point where he honestly just wants to take a brief, momentary break.

    Thankfully, though, his injury was starting to heal... most likely due to Redo’s mysterious influence; still, the fact Sayuri had to save him at the last second made him feel like a lame knight. Why, provided he actually had Ryuto’s expertise as a tank, then perhaps he could defend her better... but he ended up falling flat on his back - something that manages to make him think even worse of himself.

If one thing didn’t surprise him, it was the fact that some desert rogues had just made an attempt to jump him. Which did amuse him somewhat, as it was an old tactic: look for someone either on their own, or from out of town that looked vulnerable. Except, that’s where they’d made their mistake, as someone as powerful as him with a Geo Vision had taken advantage of the unsteady earth. After smiting his fist into the earth, an enormous sinkhole had caused the earth beneath to buckle and them to be swallowed whole by the sands, thankfully sparing the Eremites who’d been in the area, too.

“Hah, that’ll show them not to jump the Almighty Arataki Itto!”
