Not many people understand my obsession with KPop & the groups that I'm crazy about. (coughs...coughs...) Well, I admitted perving on other bands outside of my OMG-I'm-So-Mad-About-You circle but when it comes to love baby, you got to have the whole package. Inside & outside. Most brownie points goes to skill sets & personality. Let's start with Lee Hyori. Queen of KPop. Some called her the Korean Queen of music. She is legendary. In her 30s & she could jump into splits way quicker than any Korean artist I know. She is rocking hot & is sporting as hell. I've never seen her say No to any challenges thrown at her, be it embarrassing or physically impossible. Men fear her & women admire her boldness in expressing her opinion as most conservative Asian society, good women shoudl always let the men walk 1st & they go 2nd. Not a chance in Hyori's world. She is the epitome of what every conservative individual strive to be, without creating drama over drunk driving, drug abuse, alcoholism & silly episodes most artist we know indulge in when fame gets to them. We understand fame is a difficult, mad bull to ride on. Like how it could make a Matador rise to stardom, it could also be the same reason him having his bones crushed into pieces. Hyori rides the black bull like a boss. Bonus, she is one fine lady too. ;) Life wasn't a bed of roses for her when she was smacked with a plagiarism lawsuit a few years back which lead to her taking a back seat while the court case was in order. I didn't know her before that case but maybe that made her who she is now? Fierce & determined to not have anything bring her down. From what I recalled, she was dragged into the gutter just because she trusted a close friend recommendation of a new, fresh composer who is apparently up & coming in the Korean music world. Her trust in that friendship costed her dearly. In addition to her feisty front, she do have her funny & kind moments when she realised she was too direct & strict with her dealings. In one of the episode of Invincible Youth, there was one scene where young Sandara Park (Dara) expressed her admiration for Hyori when they were left alone but due to her bluntness, she just brushed her affection aside. Dara was like a puppy kicked in the gut, however due to Hyori's widely known attitude, she chirpily hopped on with her own business, forgetting that it ever happened. Hyori on the other hand felt guilty & made amends by serving soup to Dara afterwards. The look on Dara face was priceless as kindness is best served warm. I bet the mundane Kimchi soup tasted like a 5 Star delicacy. Slurp! Last but not least, she is married. To an artist. It causes an uproar in the music world as he was the most ordinary looking singer in Korea. Not to say he isn't even famous. Hyori told the press that she married him for his personality, not his looks. Usually when celebrities say so, I would just snort at the absurdity of those words but she meant it. Try Googling her husband & you'll understand where I'm coming from. She sometimes jokes that she likes wealth. Fans just gobbled her words wholly. Hello, she is the highest paid singer in Korea with a net worth of 18 million. Shut the window! That's way much more than what a Kimbab shop pays. Happily married for 5 years & still on-going. Those who are jealous, yes I feel your pain, however the throne of her heart has been taken. Move along, please. And for fellow chicas who is head over heels over her, she is a vegetarian & an avid fighter for animal rights. Reow! Gold medal there. I'm definitely having bees knees over her despite her intimidating persona & the fact that she is taken. Love her to bits & RESPECT to the max! (swoons...)
