I sincerely just love the Summer of Evolution opening so much? Like, the actors are all so enthusiastic and they fit their roles so well and I love the music and choreography and just everything about this opening is just <33

I could quite literally fill a post just ranting about how much I love the Haikyuu stage play (the music have I mentioned the music??) but I’m not going to do that not today at least

But here are some of my favorite clips from the opening! I was going to make individual gifs to showcase them but it said that the video was too long to make gifs of ): So I’m linking it to the direct time as well as listing the time instead :D Hope you all enjoy <3

2:35 - This is basically Takeda introducing the beginning of the play (I’m pretty sure, at least, my japanese is rusty) and he’s mentioning Gandhi and how great he is - he also mentions phones and “why do you even bring them? there’s no point!?” - fits the teacher role very well xD

3:32 - Tsukkiyama eeeee

3:49 - Speedy costume changes :0 love Yachi and Takeda as the villagers and Asahi as a very... unique horse

4:09 - Not dead Daichi being the ghost-

4:35 - Ah yes, the most important line in the show: the next day.

4:47 - I love the way he says her name lmao

5:41 - Not Ukai wondering when he’ll get a girlfriend and Hinata (Villager B, perhaps?) bluntly insulting him xD

5:50 - Hinata’s just hilarious throughout this entire video imo, pointing out Suga who is subtly hiding behind one of the columns

6:12 - Tsukki picking him up like he weighs nothing o.O

6:27 - And so the moon and the villager fought, with only a broom separating them

6:38 - THIRD YEARS SCREECH LOVE THIS them complaining about their roles

6:48 - Hinata’s just great at dodging wow maybe it’s because he’s so short nO I’M JUST KIDDING

9:28 - I LOVE this scene xD Firstly because it’s tsukkiyama (ahhh the way Yamaguchi says Tsukki ahhhh) but also? the joke with buying sugar because of the way it’s pronounced sounds like salt xDD am i the only one who finds this joke funny idk

10:04 - dANCING AHHH I LOVE THE CHOREOGRAPHY HAVE I MENTIONED THAT but also Suga is adorable in this idk I love the way he adds in twirls in the dance lmao (also Bokuto as the swimming club guy in the back though-)

10:14 - THIS- HIS LITTLE TWIRL- I CAN’T EVEN- He’s so extra I love it xD

11:27 - The way Yaku grins at the audience and Fukunaga’s expression as well I love it

11:35 - Lev that jump omg

11:41 - I love all of Fukurodani their dance is perfection and their excitement- it’s so contagious :D

12:00 - The way they all point and yell “Aghkaaaashiii” my heart <33

12:23 - Kageyama’s expression is something else though

12:34 - Karasuno + dancing + music = happy tears of joy from me

12:57 - Awww the way Hinata gestures at the audience to join in

12:58 - Hehe on the right you can see Kenma waving at Hinata their friendship I swear-

13:01 - All the teams dancing together- this ending is perfect and it is the perfect way to start the play 

Okay yeah so maybe this turned out a bit longer than I was expecting, and I went off on a bit off a ramble but I just really like this opening I’m sorry xD
