any predictions for sebek sleepwear??? bet he has a malleus pillow somewhere
fingers crossed for a Risugurumi cameo, don't let me down Twst 🤞
(I do 100% believe Sebek is the kind of guy who can't bear to throw out his old stuffed animals. he doesn't need to sleep with them anymore, but. sometimes they need him.)
Had a lot of thoughts about this scene while zoted last night, so I'm gonna yap
Robert introduces the 'real' him AS Mecha Man, despite the fact that it’s not who he is as a person, who he is at his core. He frames Robert as the mask, hiding who he truly is because his suit is still being worked on.
We already know Robert's burdened with the generations of legacy on his name, of ruining everything his father and grandfather died for. It's all he's pretty much been living for; he spent all his money on the suit, we've never seen him eat a real goddamn meal, he's never bothered to get himself furniture or a goddamn mattress (likely because he wasn't at the apartment much; iirc he literally asks Blonde Blazer what PTO is, that man has not taken a break once)
He’s only ever seen himself as Mecha Man, not Robert.
BUT THE OTHERS DON'T. Sure, Robert already knows their hero names, and to some degree, they're only sharing the hidden part of their identity they are because Robert did; HOWEVER, they're still sharing who THEY are at their core. Who they are under the layers of glory and power every hero has. Their 'real' part is THEMSELVES, not their hero.
‘TRUE IDENTITY’ IS SUCH A THEME. How it's shown in the DLC comics that Blonde Blazer broke up with Phenomaman because he couldn't love her as her truest self, Mandy, the person
When he first gets the job, Robert is NOTHING without his suit, it's all he's here for and everything he's waiting for.. but then he starts to bond with the team (+ Chase), and slowly they come to care for not Mecha Man, but Robert. It's that care that forces him to reflect on everything
For once in his life, he's kinda learning what it's like to have people care about who he really is —the person beneath the mask, the person piloting that suit.
And man, I think they're doing a good job at showing it.
I feel like a mix of these right now. This might be a stupid/obvious yap but idc it's my Tumblr blog I can do as I please
love how everyone in the bloodymary fandom is just like:
“yes they are my space squishies and i will hurl them into angst or comfort at my own will”
to
“is that markiplier and ryan gosling? haha nice”
little frisk also because i realized ive never drawn them
"Are you real?"
"I'm real, Doctor. I missed you so much..."
kinda obsessed with the fact scully shot him one time and he was like yeah that’s fair
