Continuation of Robert having two chaotic babies.

A young prospective hero in the lobby cannot help but coo. Waterboy is clearly nervous about a job interview, but the little family's presence seems to calm him. When Robert moves over to help the younger man with his tie, Abby reaches out to gently slap the water on the meta's face. Sam dislikes the tiny droplets of water and voices his disgust with a short scree.

Flambae, Mecha Man's foe, enters the building. Robert hopes that the ex-villain doesn't recognise him out of the suit.

Abby, ever the social butterfly, waves at the newcomer.

Flambae's aloof stride is halted to wave back at the tiny girl. An undeniably warm smile on his face, despite the missing tooth.

Sam takes the opportunity to continue his complaints about the water by setting himself alight.

The brief flash of panic in the lobby only pauses with Robert's unamused expression.

Robert: "Sammy, baby. I know you're upset, but setting yourself on fire scares people."

Sam: (*annoyed grumbles as the cold flames die down*)

Waterboy, startled: "Th-that-?"

Robert, noticing the stares from the others: "Sorry. It's all theatrics. His fire doesn't even burn things."

Abby: (*copies her little brother and cloaks herself in cold fire*) :D

Robert, exasperated: "That goes for the little miss too."

Flambae: (*lets out a wordless laugh and continues on his path*)

Waterboy: O-oh. That must be difficult- inconvenient to ma-manage."

Robert: "You have No idea."

Blazer is surprised to see Robert bring in his two little ones, but she's instantly charmed by them. Abby giggling and waving to her in greeting while Sam stares mesmerised by the blonde hero's red amulet.

Invisigal doesn't hide inside the conference room for long. Abby was let loose from the carrier so her dad could put on his new uniformed shirt, only for the little girl to pounce on a seemingly empty chair.

Visi comments brazenly on Robert's tiny brood and his "dad bod" - that stings him just a little bit harder than intended.

The Z-Team are quick to joke about Robert "not being careful" when he mentions having two under-two-year olds.

The ex-villains also laugh when a distinctly youthful babble addresses them.

Flambae, soft laugh: "Ha ha. I know who that is. Thats the one who waved at me in the lobby." Mal: "Aww. Any little horns or tails?" Flambae: "No, she's a pretty normie-looking baby. Big angel face like the cover of a hallmark card... then she set herself on fire." Prism: "What?!" XD Punch Up: "A little fire starter?" Flambae: "Both of them! Sonar: "THERE'S TWO!?!"

This quickly leads to a rabbit hole of Prism subtly probing Robert for answers on where he was roughly 9 or 10 months ago, and if the babies' other parent(s) is in the picture.

She makes an amused hum when Robert stumbles to find answers.

Robert finds himself unexpectedly ambushed in the breakroom by most of the Z-Team.

Golem: "Oh dang, he really did bring his baby to work." Flambae: "Told you." Robert, goofy smile: "You know what's cuter than one baby?" (*spins around, revealing a napping Sam*) "TWO babies!" Z-Team: (*go nuts!*) :O! Sam, rudely awakened: >:O! Sam: (*sets himself on fire*) Z-Team: (*turn to look pointedly at Flambae*) Flambae: "What?"

Dispatch x My Hero Academia crossovers are hilarious because it immediately shuts down the whole "Can a Quirkless/Powerless person become a hero?" question with a solid "Fuck yeah."

Mecha Man going to public conventions and panels for the first time in forever, at the behest of Mandy, to drum up support for SDN in other regions.

This is where he discovers that the Powered-to-Unpowered ratio in a lot of places is more lopsided. Japan for example; has only a quarter of their population be without powers or mutation - and that's heavily leaning towards the older population.

SDN is asked to send representatives to a special Q&A panel at Musutafu Hero Con. Apparently the event planner believes that showing a more community-focused approach to superheroism will help steer people away from the oversaturated agency market.

Blazer agrees wholeheartedly - offering to send the Z-Team and other SDN employees on a fully-paid trip to Japan while the Torrance branch is being rebuilt.

The Z-Team don't even try fighting the offer - a vacation "just" to speak for a few hours at a convention? Sign them up!

(Depending on how strict air travel is in this universe - the planes are fitted with power-dampeners to prevent... incidents.)

Robert is asked to appear as Mecha Man - as non-powered supers are exceedingly rare in Japan, even in the modern day. Robert agrees, as long as he can bring the Mech Suit + doesn't have to attend the dispatcher's panel.

Robert underestimates how big a deal Mecha Man is in Japan.

When Mecha Man Blue hops on stage at a con and is introduced as THE Quirkless Super Hero!?! The crowd goes nuts. There's a massive crowd of fans wearing Mecha Man merchandise from across different eras, licensed and fan-made. There's older people waving Mecha Man Prime banners, and families dressed as different generations of Mecha Men.

Robert is honestly a little overwhelmed?

When it finally comes to the Q&A portion Mecha Man is asked;

How was he trained? - "Home school and a lot of self-teaching."

Is the Mech Suit the same one as Astral's? - "Not entirely. Since my dad's suit was damaged in an explosion almost a year ago, a fantastic technician helped to design the new suit while using materials from the older model."

Were you born Quirkless, or was your Quirk taken away? - "Still getting used to the Quirk terminology, but I was born without powers of any kind... And I'm pretty sure I never picked one up along the way."

Who is your toughest foe? - "Besides Shroud? I'd say a certain arsonist I now work with." ("You flatter me, Mecha Dick.")

It's the final question, asked by a nervous little boy wearing an All-Might hoodie, that gives the hero pause.

Izuku: "Can I still become a hero? Even if I don't have a Quirk?"

Robert looks at the question asker carefully. The kid has restrained hopeful look as if he's preparing himself for disappointment.

Robert looks over the crowd of fans once more.

Back in the States - Mecha Man was "just" a legacy hero. Grandpa Bobby was the first of his kind, and many more followed.

The people here have yet to have their own Quirkless hero rise up.

Robert: "Yes. But only if you work hard at it. Not having powers will put you a great disadvantage yes, but you're foes will never know what next trick is up your sleeve. I'm at a slightly unfair advantage as the third in the line of Mecha Men - but I know how it feels when you think you're powerless. So yes, you can become a hero without a Quirk." (*awed silence fails over the crowd. the little boy's eyes well with happy tears.*) Robert: "And if anyone says otherwise, I will personally kick their ass."

His closing statement makes the room erupt into laughter and cheers.

The little boy is blubbering thank yous as the mic operator has him step back into the crowd.

Robert spends the rest of the convention signing autographs and meeting people who've always admired Mecha Man - in any form.

It's the kids that really get him though.

The little boy with the All-Might hoodie will later ask Mecha Man to sign so many posters and toys (Robert didnt even know they made plushies), and introduce himself as Izuku Midoriya aka Deku.

Robert: "Deku? Oh! Like the cool shrub guys from Legend of Zelda! I'll make sure to keep an ear out if I ever hear that name on the airwaves!"

The boy faints from joy, much to Robert's surprise.

Mecha Man isn't the only hero with his own fanclub.

Sonar and Golem are nearly mobbed by people with obvious mutations and hybrid traits. A little boy with a covered face and membraned arms tells Sonar that he's his hero. Sonar is so proud that he turns Megabat.

A boy with a rocky face asks Golem in a whisper if he likes animals. Golem smiles wide and tells him of the time he babysat a tiger.

Malevola is taking a selfie with a little girl with pink skin and horns. A girl crowned with thorns asks her religious questions, and is puzzled when the demoness says she's Atheist.

Coupe is showing a pair of children (one physical, the other confined to shadows) how her wings work. A little girl with sharp teeth and a wild expression asks her if she needs blood to fuel her power - Coupe answers calmly "Infrequently. Mostly I enjoy the taste."

Punch Up is showing off his strength to a number of people born with height deformities.

Flambae nearly gets in trouble for telling an explosive child to "Don't talk about people like that, you little shit!" - after the kid said a derogatory term for Quirkless people.

Waterboy meets a froggy little girl that compliments his wetsuit. And a swarm of children with life-altering Quirks say he inspired them to become a heroes. He's so flustered that he can barely speak.

Prism records a mini music video with the daughter of musicians. She tells her that they can collaborate whenever she wants. A little blonde boy shows off his Prism-inspired hero outfit, with her approval.

Invisigal nearly collides with her first super-fan - a little girl who's body turned permanently invisible when she was very young, and wishes she could control it like her. Visi wheezes with pride.

Many of Phenomaman's fans are people who feel "alien" in some way, not just physically.

Overrall, it's a very eye-opening experience.

teen z-team and teen watermech thought

every time watermech fall asleep together on their hangouts/sleepovers, z-team try to draw on their faces with markers and take pictures of them. they can't really do it on herm because he's constantly wet, but they go CRAZY on robert's face. just the dumbest stuff ever.

they also just take a lot of pictures of them being lovey dovey and romantic to make fun of them.

Dispatch men x artist male!reader that draws them in their free time whenever they're bored..

Reader draws them in his free time whenever he's not being dispatched to calls and one day the sketchbook gets leaked via someone taking pictures when reader's away and now it gets shown to the Z-team gc

Even worse if it's like they're already in a relationship with them and the sketches aren't as innocent, some are just artistic nudity but others are probably not safe for SDN'S HR department

Prism definitely was the one to take the pictures and sent them to the group chat.

Waterboy is mostly enamored by how good you are with anatomy, not even processing how the drawings could be seen as sexual.

Robert feels the same way about it, noticing how good you are, but he definitely can see the implications.

Sonar and Flambae will straight up confront you, only upset that you didn't ask them to pose for you. They'll gladly strip down and show off for hours just for you.

z team getting a new member on the team who can control fire, water, earth, and air like the avatar from avatar the last airbender? including maybe some subskills like metalbending and lavabending.

like he has such a large arsenal of stuff he can do and can adapt to a variety of fighting styles because of the differences of each element and their own specific strengths and weaknesses. knowing when to stand his ground with earth, when to go with the flow of water, practicing restraint with fire, and flexibility through air. and hes often paired with waterboy and golem who just passively give him more ammo to deal with so it doesnt take very long for him to be one of sdn's most dispatched heros.

even better if hes short and just an absolute golden retriever about it too. just so happy coming into work and getting to help people while kicking ass to the point where he comes off as cocky. would love it if you could include (romantic) flambae, golem, and royd. plus (platonic) waterboy, robert, and chase. if you like writing for this ill def ask more related to this lil self-insert of mine. tysm for your awesome writing <3

I love the idea of the reader just hopping on top of Golem and then using your powers to fly him around.

I think Flambae would fall in love immediately, both because of your powers matching up with his, but also because you're so small. It's pretty similar with Royd too, he loves the size difference and that you're so helpful because of your metal bending.

I also love the idea of this small happy golden retriever bender, being brought to the point of using their bending skills in the most terrifying way. Like the whole Z-team is kidnapped and the you come in all serious telling the people to let the team go. Of course they just laugh at first, then all of a sudden there's screaming because it turns out you can control the blood in a persons body if you focus hard enough on it. Straight up inventing blood bending.
