what do people get out of making a hyper realistic painting? Is it the I fooled you factor from making people think its a photo? because other than that sinister gratification, idk where the joy is making hyper realistic paintings. Maybe its the process. If its the process why limit yourself to a photo, or something that is already captured.  in the past without photography though hyperrealism might’ be the peak of a painters conquest.
