Aaliyah came out to show love and support for her fellow "Romeo Must Die", and "Back in One Piece" collaborator, DMX.
Aaliyah was just one of those genuine people that always enjoyed watching her peoples come up with her and using her platform anyway she can. No, DMX did not need her, but he appreciated what she did for him when she was alive; especially making sure he had a role in RMD. She was in the game longer than him and still treated him like family. He never forgot that and loved her like a sister. When she died, he felt like he lost family and any interview where Aaliyah's name came up, DMX always made sure to give her praise for just being the person she was.
