statistically the all-girl rapping team has won more showings over all the others at the interactive hypmic movie which is so funny bc the movie really sets it up where you feel like a complete asshole if you DON'T vote for them. you spend the entire runtime basically just voting for your favs bc none of them have any realistic ideologies or long-term goals for their stint in government, and then right at the end the girls sing a song about how they're the epitome of girl power and they personally abolished patriarchy and you're like. well now if i vote for one of the all-guy groups to win i'm anti-feminist.

the animation is really really amazing first off. I heard about fans tearing up when they first watched it cause of how good the animation is, and I really get that. the models look so good yall
there's not much of a plot here just Vibes but I don't even care that much cause holy shit everything looks so good??? it feels more like a live performance than a movie; it's fun!! this really deserves to be watched on a big screen with an entire crowd to cheer with
out of everyone, kuko looks sooooo good wtf. they did magic with model istg. he also moves so much like ryota hirono (his 1st stage actor). he keeps backflipping at every opportunity
DIVISION BATTLE ANTHEM
when this song started playing, I actually started tearing up??? I was just overcome with love for hypmic 😭😭
there are a Lot of foot shots and crotch shots in this movie what the hell. do we really need closeup shots of ichiro and samatokis shoes from a ground view
in every verse, there's this bit in the middle where they just rotate the characters model a full 360° with the same poses as their initial sprites. it's like the animators are saying "everyone look at how kickass our 3d models are 😎" yes movie they are very cool thanks.
SASARA BOUNCES INTO THE SCREEN FOR HSI VERSE IT MADE ME SHRIEK IN SURPRISE
in the chorus, the characters are kaiju-sized and walk around their divisions? giant MTC easily jump over a building, giant sasara twirls around the tsutenkaku tower, giant saburo and jiro race through the empty streets of bukuro
hifumi does this fucked up dance with his knees that mildly terrifies me
rio is doing pull-ups below a bridge???
doppo morosely slides down a child's slide in an empty playground and screams for his verse
during the bridge where the leaders are shittalking each other, chuuoku appear and fly (??) towards the screen. the power of women ig
for the final chorus, all the 18 guys walk down an empty desert kaiju-sized. ramuda joyfully kicks a car.

during jyushi vs jiro, jiro does a backflip to get infront of jyushi and rap at his face ajfskdjfk
during the chorus of each battle song, famous landmarks of the division rise from each team's side of the board as set decoration and it looks cool as fuck
kuko runs up to ichiro and leans over him to rap at his face?? and ichiro reverses it to tower over kuko, practically crotch to crotch, while ichiro raps at him??? AND KUKO ENJOYS IT??? like the camera lingers on kukos face and his grin gets feral what the hell
i had to rewatch that bit multiple times after the stream because dear lord???
the speakers smash against each other and it's pretty goofy lol

the song starts with the two teams running at each other and standing face-to-face. sasara and samatoki mock each other and their faces get realllll close, almost like theyre sharing a mic
and thats it. thats the only sasasama crumbs in the entire movie LOL. ichikuu and ramujaku were practically frotting and this is all what sasasama get (im team "sasasama as exes only" so i approve)
i like the beat and chorus of the chorus so far, but then jyuto started rapping and my smile dropped

theres this scene where hifumi slings his arm around doppo's shoulder, and dice responds by slinging his arm around gentaro's shoulder.
