I think it's time to move on from Hypno Pop......I'm pretty much out of my erstwhile haze and am no longer hypnotized - now the time has come for aleatory ejaculations of ink.

Not a list (A collaboration with hypnopop)
imagine a world
any world you please
it can be just like this one
filled with oceans and trees
or it can be completely different
like a world without gravity
imagine a world
and let your mind float there
write down what you see
so that all of us can share
in the wonder of your thoughts
where these possible worlds exist
as more than just a bunch of prepositions written out in a list…
_________________________
Yes! Write to any extreme
so that we can imagine a world in lost letters and dreams.
Write blood on the outside
and body reversed
so that we can be joyous
in this retrograde thirst.
Yes; Lust after the glass, the concrete, and the rocks!
Descry in the minds of inanimate vines
the passion we find in Panglossian rhymes.
Yet still
as a million vantage’s seams are cut
it’s discovered that Life’s in disgust
at this the best of all possible worlds.
And in the distance the accumulated laughter
of every possibility is heard:
Don’t!
Don’t write me out in a list.

"Killin' The Vibe (alternate version)" - Ducktails
Ducktails is back with a brand new jam...no not Huey, Louie, and Dewey. I'm talking about Real Estate guitarist Matthew Mondanile. The hypno-pop-punk artist has gone under the name Ducktails for his solo joints and now hes back to give you Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics. The last we heard of Ducktails was a mostly instrumental, hypnotic sounding album titled Landscapes (a great listen when you're in the trippy mood) but this time we have something a little more tangible in sound. The album is to hit the streets January 18th, but as always, beatpeace is here to give you a taste of what's to come.
If you order the album on iTunes or on vinyl you get a special, alternate version of "Killin' the Vibe," which is actually posted right here for your listening pleasure. The alternate version features vocal additions from Animal Collective's Panda Bear along with Woods' Jarvis Taveniere and Dent May. It's a great track that really depicts what the album is about.
So enjoy this little tidbit for now. On January 18, though, go out into the big bad world and grab a copy of Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics. Your ears will be pleased.
