I took this picture of my perspective staring up at the ceiling when I was being hypnotized on my date this weekend.
I'm an eyes-open person in trance, and in deep trances I get a ton of visual hallucinations/distortions, so I tried to edit the picture to what "hypnosis over my eyes" looks like, like a filter. It's sort of close? Really difficult to capture.
We're all usually very focused on how trance changes the way our bodies feel -- that's one of the main ways we tell we're in trance at all. But trance changes ALL of our senses: the way we hear and even smell our partners changes. And of course, visually too.
I'm really interested in these sensory changes because they are part physiological and part psychological, and they make up the whole "hypnotized" experience, like this is what it is to be hypnotized!
Also, the visual distortions look and feel like magic to me!
