mild panic. a violent inhale. she’s trailing after him like a child, or a puppy. or a fish. gasping for air. he’s got a treat dangling on the end of his tongue. threatening to take it all back right as she’s about to bite. ❛ hey --- no ! you can’t do that. ❜ she knows what he’s thinking. he can do anything he likes. but the curiosity pries fingers between her teeth. mouth hung open. she’s not ready to be disappointed. but she fears even if he does spill, she’ll be disappointed now that she has made such a fuss about it.
