Denki paused for a moment, hesitant on what to say as Midoriya clearly didn’t understand what he was trying to do- flirt with him using pick up lines, pretty much.
A smile replaced his look of shock as Denki thought up another, hopefully one that Midoriya wouldn’t be able to be confused about- although knowing the other, it was likely he’d find someway to be confused.
“Are you a wifi hotspot? Because I’m feeling a connection.”
@hypocritehero liked for a starter <3
“Midoriya-kun?” The unsure and hesitant voice spoke as he approached Izuku’s desk. He had only just recently started, and was still having a bit of trouble navigating his way through the dorms. His room was already set up and stuff, and he’d been there at least twice by now since he’d only been at the school for two days, but.. he wasn’t exactly great with directions or finding his way around the school. Hell, he’d even been late to every single class he had.
He recognized the greenette, however. At least he thought it was him from the back of his head. He had asked a few students what his name was, getting the same answers. ‘Deku’ or ‘Midoriya Izuku’. So, he assumed there were two different people in the dorms called Deku and Midoriya.
“You uh, you are Midoriya, right?”

Inosuke was quick to attempt to escape the grasp of Aizawa’s capture weapon, struggling against the grip and yelling unintelligible noises. “Oi, you think you can beat me?! You think you’re better than me, Ibuku Demorida?!”
“Lemme go! AAAHHHRG!” He had to fight this guy! Had to prove he was better than him, that he himself was the best! He’d heard enough from Monoma about how this guy was super strong and how Inosuke could definitely beat him. He talked a lot of crap about a lot of the people in 1A, but Izuku’s quirk was what caught his interest the most, especially after the sports festival where he witnessed it in full blast.
@hypocritehero ♡ ‘d this starter call!
It had been a few days since she had been able to see Izuku doing anything else besides his work study and secluded training. It had been nearly strange to see him present in the common room of the dorms. “Deku!” Ochaco chirped in surprise, encroaching upon him curiously.
“I keep missing you whenever you come back. Do you actually have some free time today?”

HIMI SHOTO HAD SPENT HIS ENTIRE LIFE LIVING UNDER THE IDEAL THAT HE SHOULD BE SEEN BUT NEVER HEARD, silent to a fault even around others. When he did speak, his voice sounded scratchy & was never much louder than a whisper — never heard, rarely listened to, it was no different now than it had always been & he was quick to make an effort not to disturb people at U.A. He wasn’t even meant to be there, after all, barely managing to escape homeschooling by applying behind his father’s back & it had ended up with him being disowned, living with his older sister after she moved out.
( quirkless people aren’t people, shoto, his father once told him. you are not a person, not to anyone else. )
That was the version of a hero he had always known & he’d been surprised to even be accepted to U.A, a school with many hero staff members, considering his status as quirkless — after all, if the number two hero thought that of him simply due to his lack of a quirk, shouldn’t everyone else?
His content few months at school had come to a startling halt eventually. Upon moving into the dorms, it had been harder to hide his status & he spent a good chunk of time evading his classmates & other students. However, today he hadn’t quite managed that, having accidentally barelled into someone from the hero course while trying to stay out of sight, falling in front of the other student & dropping the folders in his hands. Panic-stricken stare aimed at the green-haired boy as he looked up, attempting to collect his things & choke out an apology to no avail, giving up rather quickly and leaving his things strewn across the floor as he frantically gestured his apologies instead.
He recognised the other, of course, from the sports festival. Midoriya Izuku of Class 1-A — a class he’d heard little good about, full of troublemakers & with someone described as rather loud & unkind in it. He wasn’t quite sure who others complained about when they mentioned attitude, but it wasn’t safe to assume that just because Midoriya didn’t look like a cruel person, he wouldn’t be. He bit his lip, lowering his hands & gathering his things before standing, head down as he awaited the lecture & shouting he was sure to be given.
( couldn’t you just stay out of the way for two seconds, shoto? idiot. )
Continued from here @hypocritehero While he knew his original goals of becoming a hero had become slightly skewed once his soulmate’s abysmal track record had started just recently. First under the impressiong that maybe his fair maiden was waiting for him on the other side of the finish line after marching his way through the hero course but right from the start of his journey something had gone terribly wrong. Words cannot even begin to describe the copious amounts of pain he felt just moments after securing his final points during the entrance exam only to collapse before he could even make it out of the area. Three broken limbs --- Three! That right there settled everything (other than his screaming and wailing)! There was a damsal in distress that needed his guaranteed success and he wasn’t to let her down with any false hope. Somewhere out there was a babe he was destined to meet and coddle and if that wasn’t every man’s dream to succeed let lightning strike him down now! Surely everything was leading up to those final moments, including this life-threatening fitness test that he had to endure as a mandatory grade of his competence. Even with his teacher’s cruel gaze that scared the filling out of his donut, he wouldn’t be deterred so ... easily! With his mind on the prize at the end of this gloomy tunnel he was determined to stick it through. That was until a particular looking plain guy smashed every glorified desire he had set for himself in a single throw. There was no way.
Had it not been for the searing pain left in his finger just after the ball had been sent soaring he would have denied it to hell and back but his teeth sinking into his lip in both pain and disappointment said otherwise. Was there some kind of mistake? He couldn’t be connected to another guy could he? Well evidently he was but what did that mean for his love life?! Was this some sort of forboding sign that he was ... dare he say ... destined to be single? To think that fate’s game of love also contained the single most insulting cockblock was in the form of another dude! Unbelievable! “Bastard ... !” It was hushed, shaking to contain his pain and heartbreak to keep any attention off of him. It was a set of frivolous activities that thankfully, kept all of his limbs in tact therefore providing him a much less painful way of having a proper conversation with his new classmate. Why was he cursred with such bad luck? Why did he have to get connected to the guy with the bone crushing Quirk? --- And how did he make it look so damn cool?! This was all some kind of cruel joke! Nonetheless he had no issues approaching his destined mate come lunch time. He could spot that unruly head of hair anywhere. The throbbing pain of his finger hadn’t forgiven Midoriya for his sacrifice and frankly neither had Mineta himself but he was willing to let the other boy explain himself first. So almost hesitantly he slapped his tray down on the table beside him, climbing onto the bench with a huff while he tried to conjure up something impactful to say. “Dude, less is more. You ever hear of that phrase before in your LIFE?!” He soon realized that his question might have been coming out of context, thus wrapping his fingers into a fist and waving it in Midoriya’s face to show off his bandaged finger.
