Vivosaur pride: day 6!

Today is a double day for the trans masc (Nasaur) and fem (Hypsi) flags, so I wanted to have a matching pair of vivosaurs for these!

I really want to get a mini transmasc flag to put in my little bouquet of mini pride flags. I’m trying to get all the ones that apply to me!

Again, apologies for them being off center, but I really wanted to put focus on having these be transparent so they can be used as stickers and the like.

If no requests come in then enby is coming tomorrow!

Day 9: Draw your least favorite vivosaur - Frontier Hypsi [EU]

Vivosaur/Caliosteo Islands Hypsi was, hilariously, one of my favorite vivosaurs, and had the reward of being one of the only herbivorous vivosaurs on my favorites list. It used to be very useful if used well, and it had a special place in my heart by being the vivosaur color scheme I got in the first FF game.

However, Frontier Hypsi is a totally different slice of cake. It appears on every continent in the game, with three, nasty color combos. Next, you’ll begin to realize that this thing’s stats and moves are s h i t. I mean, seriously. Yes, DS Hypsi had some pretty weak stats. However, this was because support effects were once a key element to strategy in Fossil Fighters games. The support effects of Hypsi could turn Zino into a slicey, dicey machine that will eliminate many. This is a new era, though, so support effects no longer hold any or much particular value, if any. They are just add-ons in a battle, and you will probably even forget they exist.

Back to Hypsi.. Now, its only selling point is the status-inflicting effects. No, seriously. That’s it. The attacks only do around 9-15 damage at most, and its only offensive moves are w e ak. And one of them is a boost skill.

Its placement in the game? Awful. As I said before, it appears on every single continent. In Yodel Hills, in Lantern Lake, and in Starry Falls. Yes, the different variations only differences are abilities, but.. overall, abilities in the Fossil Fighters games are useless, other then, maybe, Parting Blow and Solo Power. Seriously, the Hadrosaurs like Paraloph are overall a better option in Frontier. They have better stats in every category but speed (lower speed) and attack (same attack), and they have two weak stances; but they have a larger range of better offensive attacks, their status inflicting effects are much better in the long-run, they have a way to raise accuracy, their boost skills consist of two hits (so chances of more damage), and they have a strong stance to go into.

Sadly, you are cursed with Penny, who is already a heartless ditz that you don’t want to be with anyway, to be a partner that is required to use in the storyline. She is armed with LP Recovery, yes, but Nate is a much better option with LP Recovery, and he is also a starting paleo pal. Olga and Violet are also better options, and Violet’s default vivosaur is a Paraloph.

The worst part about Frontier Hypsi is that every time it appears, it is after your flesh. No, really. It is an aggressive rogue. And, it is unsurprisingly grating. Their speed makes them zoom up to you, and then they just waste your time and support shots. They might tackle you as you are driving, or they make you lose a fossil over their pathetic singing.

They’ve sadly just become the bidoof in Frontier, and that makes me horribly upset. Worse, there is three of said bidoof that appear on every continent. Hypsi, you poor dear. I’m sorry this happened to you.
