I wonder if Dot will take more of a researcher route in her future. From the beginning, she's always been interested in mysteries and now made the choice to be more active to chase them with Liko and Roy. She also accumulated lots of knowledge since she is able to identify Pokemon moves without being told what they are for example (she knew what move Kuwassu learned in HZ041 just by watching it). She also looked up Friede's research papers and probably read them as well and expressed admiration for his work too.

In this episode, she specifically expressed curiosity when the topic of professors researching Terastal energy came up. Which makes her very similar to Spinel in a way, since the latter was also intrigued by Liko's pendant looking like the crystal of a Terastal Orb back in HZ015 (and Spinel is a researcher as well).

Dot gets tense and a bit flustered around Nemo and the Elite Four.

She was that way around Nanjamo before when the latter read her comment too.

Still thinking about Onyx's line at the end of HZ046, saying him and Sango were late because "one of us slept in".

The implications of that one line, like. How did he know she slept in? Do Sango and Onyx actually live together? What are the living arrangements for the Explorers. Did he try to wake her up in the morning to no avail? Was he waiting for her the whole day and had to go fetch her because he waited too long? And why did he drag her in front of everyone and said she slept in.

Liko, Roy and Dot's reasons to seek Terastal.

Anyway, just quick ramblings about the reasons why Liko, Roy and Dot are seeking Terastal and how they all have distinct and different reasons to want Terastal for themselves (which is cool, they all have their own motivations and ways to approach that).

Roy wants to battle a strong Pokemon again (referring to Rayquaza), which is what he's been wanting to do from the beginning of the series and a goal he reaffirmed in the previous episode.

Dot wants to find all of the mysteries of the world's Pokemon (something she said back in HZ008, that she was interested in mystical things that no one has seen before, very similar to Friede's motivations actually since Friede wants to solve every mystery he comes across).

Liko wants to find a place (Rakua) with Nyarote and everyone else and a sight she wants to see. In the previous episode (HZ045), she said that she wanted to help Terapagos and everyone. One of her earliest motivations was that she wanted to grow stronger to be able to protect everyone important to her.

I am just so, so deeply pleased that Liko feels like such a magical girl inspired character because that's exactly what a Precure or any other magical girl character would do, too (often times, their reasons for becoming stronger are so they can be able to protect their daily lives and what they cherish most, and Liko is written in that vein as opposed to male characters narratives). It just so happens that Liko wants to become stronger for the sake of someone important to her (Terapagos) and she needs to achieve that. (It's not the pursuit of strength for the sake of it, or to face someone specific, or to compete, it's that she wants to grant someone's wish and protect her loved ones.) Even her way of reaching out to the Six Heroes so far feels so magical girl inspired, with the way she reaches out to them and tries to understand them and get them to understand her and just talk. I just love how Liko is such a shoujo kind of protagonist and how everything about her narrative reflects that, down to her motivations and relationships... (everything about Lucius and the Six Heroes reminds me of the kind of quest I can see in magical girl series, and specifically CCS tbh) (And everything about the Explorers strikes me as antagonist group from these kinds of series too. Big love.) I just really like that this kind of narrative exists in the anime.
