"So how is the Heated Rivalry brainrot doing?"
"Ah, you're making progress on that Hollanov fic set in the 2012-13 NHL season?"
oh!!! progress! i haven’t made a friend yet, but i was partnered up with a guy for icebreakers, waved at him next class, he looked at me like i was insane, then waved at me last class! progress!!
i passed $11,000 in savings, i've meal prepped and cooked twice this fortnight, i didn't give in to all of my sugar cravings and i spoke to multiple random strangers without totally short circuiting!
this is adulting! and i'm doing okay!

Apparently the trick to getting over your fear of sleeves is to sneak up on them. Yesterday I finally drafted the shape of the arm holes on the body and sewed the shoulder seam, today I got the fabric for the sleeves aligned and did some measurements to know the width and length I need. Tomorrow I just might draw and cut the top of the sleeve.
The other trick is of course to have too much fabric and accept that you are not going to do perfect pattern filling because this is hard enough as is.
I am learning the beautiful skill called "it does NOT need to look good if it's off-camera"
I'll be struggling with a scene a bit and then listen to an absolute banger of a song and suddenly I've written 1.1k words and also it is 1 am
