I think your type is men who would be kinda normal (compared to the rest of the story’s case) but have one trait that completely throws that off and makes them one of the weirdest characters @self-shippy
nothing I love more than...ominously trailing off...like what is happening...why am I..doing this..I don't know yet..mayhaps the hands of time will unwind this mystery...mayhaps..it won't...
… Don’t ask me, but sometimes I get to like love triangles.
Notes and Warnings: Because despite they being my OTP, I’m also a multishipper who has no control...
Jealous
Trafalgar wasn’t imagining things. He wasn’t that paranoid... All right, he could get paranoid, but he’d very good reasons to be.
This wasn’t one of them. This was one of those ugly feelings that he was sure he’d never have to feel. Jealousy.
Trafalgar Law was undoubtedly jealous of how well Mugiwara-ya and Eustass-ya seemed to get along.
He’d understood that the two met again at Wano Kuni prison, however from what Mugiwara-ya told of his days at the site, he seemed not to get along with Eustass-ya.
Still, meeting someone Mugiwara-ya wasn’t trying to make friends with was as strange as finding a legendary Zoan. Clearly that wouldn’t end well.
That’s what he used to think.
The more he thought about it, the more he realized the resemblance Mugiwara-ya and Eustass-ya have in common. They were both impulsive, lunatics, looking for fights, and while there was no friendship, there was at least respect. Unlike theirs, where it's zero respect and 100% friendship.
Trafalgar hadn’t noticed the change of attitude until Eustass-ya seemed to like to break into them every time Law had Mugiwara’s attention. At first Trafalgar dropped the subject and decided to share his strategy with Nico-ya and Nami-ya.
It was only after a few days that he began to feel strange that Mugiwara-ya didn’t seem to have time to bother him about how busy the younger captain was fighting with Eustass-ya.
At first he thought it was his imagination, the habit of having Luffy wrapped around his neck and not being around him overnight. It wasn’t his imagination when during the dinner he glanced at where Mugiwara-ya and Eustass-ya were meeting, as soon as the redhead saw him spying on them, he smirked and pulled Mugiwara’s neck to his side.
Obviously Mugiwara didn’t see the whole scenario, so he could just have overlooked it as another one of Kid’s actions. Not for him, Trafalgar understood, Eustass-ya was flirting with Mugiwara-ya.
“Don’t you want to do anything about it?” Nami asked one day, the girl was watering her tangerine trees.
Trafalgar looked at the orange-haired, listening in the background to Nico-ya, who was practicing with the instrument called shamisen. “Why should I? You’re the ones who should put a stop to both of their abrupt behavior.”
“Trafalgar, we’re not the ones who are in love with Luffy.”
In love? Him? While he couldn’t deny that he was attracted to Mugiwara-ya, he wasn’t going to say it, no matter how much he bit his tongue every time he saw Luffy and Kid together.
It’s not like he could fight Mugiwara-ya, he couldn’t get to Eustass-ya and say ‘I saw him first.’ that was neither mature nor logical; Because at first, he had no claim on Mugiwara-ya, and he was sure that Luffy would punch him in the face if he understood that he was seen as an object.
“Torao,” Luffy slammed his face against Trafalgar’s back, unbalancing the taller captain.
“Mugiwara-ya, I told you not to do that.” Trafalgar looked away, concealing the fact that that weight in his stomach had disappeared and his heart was beating at a thousand an hour.
“Uh? Are you hot?” Luffy asked with curiosity, observing Torao’s face, tiptoeing to see him better, holding Law’s warm face in his hands, “Your face is all red.”
In an alternate world, perhaps in a dream, this would have been a good time for a confession.
“Yes, it’s the heat.”
But Trafalgar being Trafalgar, he wasn’t going to say it.
Luffy looked both ways before he whispered to Trafalgar, “Nami told me there’s a hot springs near Ebisu, I don’t know how great they are, but — ”
“I’m coming.” Trafalgar responded quickly and began to walk, even though he’d Luffy on his back.
Luffy smiled at himself and returned his body to its original form. He already missed having Torao’s company, not that Kid’s was bad.
