Tony doesn't second guess himself when he's teasing. His joking is usually unfiltered brain-to-mouth stream of consciousness.
But the way he hesitated!!!
It's written all over his face!
The way he's all, "should I say it? I want to say it. I shouldn't though, right? What if she doesn't feel the same way? What if she takes it the wrong way? Come on, DiNozzo, man up, you can do this! Ok, I'm going for it--"
And he finally says it. And it's devoid of his usual swagger. It's surprisingly awkward and shy coming from Tony. Because this teasing is usually for sport. But this is serious now, even if he's downplaying it.
The way he's like, " haha, maybe I should be asking you out, since you did say the first woman I saw! Ha! Just kidding! Unless you want to go out with me then I am totally serious because I want you to be my girlfriend."
And then, THEN!!!!!
Instead of shooting him down, or cutting him down, she jokes back!!!

And then the music kinda swells
And his brain is like 🤯
