apparently we’re doin fruit rwby??? frRWitBY???
I’m pretty sure there’s an alarm going off nowhere and it’s driving me nuts.
I remembered a weird and completely useless memory yesterday that I want to share for some reason. When I was in 8th grade my health class did some bullshit group activity that we called “The Battle of the Sexes.” We were stuck in one of those shitty American classroom trailers for overcrowded schools, it was nearing summertime and was freakin’ hot in there, and it seemed like this activity lasted a whole week or more. I honestly don’t remember a whole lot of its content, or why the fuck we were doing it. But I remember it took the form of a class debate about gender issues only with a lot of adolescent yelling about “boys vs. girls” (so, a lot like this bullshit website).
I do remember that it made me supremely uncomfortable for reasons that 8th grade me lacked the words to articulate. I didn’t participate much and probably took a ding to my final grade but who cares. I also remember when the teacher read aloud his end-of-year anonymous student feedback (????? why would he read aloud comments intended only for the teacherrrrrr??????) he read my feedback saying Battle of the Sexes was my least favorite activity of that year.
For some reason this caused a fucking sensation and one girl actually shouted “WHO SAID THAT?” in a tone of voice that suggested “I will punch your kidneys clear of your mortal body, whoever said such blasphemy.”
Meanwhile I had to shrug and say “golly gee, fellows, I sure don’t know who said thaaaat, I mean it totally wasn’t me or anything, ha ha right because this was the best class ever, anyway excuse me as I sink further into the ground.”
This was in 1999. Something tells me you wouldn’t be able to get away with an activity like this nowadays, with more visibility than ever before for nonbinary and trans kids who don’t fit any one gender, or don’t ascribe to a concept of gender at all. Like... I don’t even know what the original point was in the first place.
But middle school sucked the big one, this much I do know.
idk what I want.
I’m groggy, but not tired enough to actually sleep, I’ll just lay there for hours.
but I don’t have anything to do if I stay up.
I don’t wanna play games. I don’t have the coherency to draw. netflix is boring rn.
idk.
Gusari drew more Oikawa and Iwa-chan & I’m crying here, gusari is iwa0i queen
