I just consumed Twin Peaks content for at least 12-13 hours straight and I am thinking of a Stranger Things x Twin Peaks au where Chrissy haunts the narrative Laura Palmer style..

Like I'm sure people have thought of this before, but it is wracking my brain.

And like heads up, I'm a hardcore Steddie writer and they are haunting the narrative of my life, so I may lose some people here but hear me out. Also if everyone in Twin Peaks is having an affair then I feel zero guilt for making it Steddie.

Ideas I'm having, feel free to chime in:

Same dynamics from the show, Eddie is the main suspect but also takes an almost Agent Cooper role (dreams, visions) as he and the party try to solve the case

Eddie is an FBI agent on the case, Steve is the Sheriff of Hawkins

Steve and Robin are FBI agents on the case, Eddie is prime suspect but ends up being a great deal of help

El would definitely have a big role to play I feel, like I feel like she would be someone who can see the spirits like the Palmer women do. Will might honestly take a role similar to the one armed man because like... past flaying, you know. It makes sense narratively, I think.

I don't like critiquing AFK, more so because i think negatively about everything, i just don't want AFK to be that as well.

But imo the Saida and the overall lifting the curse quest should have been longer. The obvious reason is more content for people who've waited more than a month for it, but actually.

Saida as everyone has been saying, already looks half-baked and unfinished, as though they just pushed her out to complete a deadline, while i get the whole, she's supposed to be uncanny, creepy and weird because she's a. a hypogean and b. still reforming. The recent quest doesn't really help with the former allegations.

I was very excited for the quest and i thought it would go on for a little longer than the current playtime.

You would think( and as they keep reminding us) a 2000 year old 'curse' would yk ensure a longer play time. I mean we literally pulled Indirs out, went to ivoryshade, were immedietly told about the origins of the curse, were imedietly told what we needed to do to resolve the curse, went to heweynn and Indris almost immedietly passed the first trial and we subsequently finished the seond trial almost faster, just fused the sylan tendril and were immedietly told that within the Ivory tree lived Saida. Saida hatched and within two second exposited her whole backstory, current plans and the way to defeat her, with a cute little batter we immedietly STOPPED A HYPOGEAN.

YOU KNOW THE THING THAT TOOK US I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW LONG FOR CRYONAIA, you remember that ? She hit us so hard we met the god of death and went into the freaking past, and THEN we defeated her. Granted, she was immensely powerful, WAY more powerful than Saida, but still, I'd have thought it would take a little more than that to just seal off the hypogean who was the root cause of, if we look at it that way, the very existence of Sal'thorin and the reason why Seralyth was Seralyth.

And immediately Eironn just knows how to purify the curse and all is done and dusted with a pretty little bow on top?

Honestly, it felt like 40% of the entire quest was just them giving a long monologue.

I'm not saying that the story itself was bad, i'm just saying it seems too rushed, a little more bonding between Indris and the rest of the characters from the Dark Forest and Vaduso, a little more exlploring and hurdles before we get to know the reason why misarte 'cursed' them. Maybe not immedeitly tell us HOW to lift that curse. And also maybe not make the tests for Indris that easy? like he just sat under a fountain and then defeated a mini earth elemental?

Them finsing out that Saida was in the ivory tree could have taken longer, maybe they didn't outright find the hypogean but moreso, her corruption would start to slowly leak out killing surrounding life, and then they were forced to find a way to get inside, them not being able to immedietly defete Saida rather her escaping, wreaking havoc, or her causing some kind of damage to eironn, for which Indirs would have to do ____ to save eironn, THEN we all find a way to defete Saida, take the help of a celestial or something. Then yada yada thing has to be done to find a way to lift the curse from Sal'thorin.

Idk, see me just brainstorming came up with a way to make the plot more intricate, rather than just...that

I'd like to formally apologize to anyone I've argued with about stranger things season five on the Internet because what the Fuck was that finale

was mike not supposed to "carry the emotional weight" of the season or whatever? he had barely any emotional scenes, especially not compared to the other characters... and his relationship with will was barely shown, I feel like- they didn't even have to get together (although there was a lot that hinted at that) but I wanted wayy more out of their friendship than we got in the finale

I'm just disappointed man. this season had so much potential too imo, I just don't think they stuck the landing.
