#i finally quit

I left this for my coworkers on my last shift at Walmart before I quit. I didn't have the heart to tell them I was leaving, but imma come say hi a lot so it won't be so bad I guess.

Friday is my last day working at the mall. I’m giving myself a week or two off to get my portfolio finished & put in design applications. I’ll see what happens with that. I really don’t want to go back to customer service but if I don’t get a design job I have no other choice. SO let’s hope something happens...

My current job has had a massive toll on me. Working every single weekend basically sucked out my soul. I  have sun damage on my skin from the roof windows & likely hearing loss from how ungodly loud it was + general exhaustion as a result. Every time I came home I was so overwhelmed I could hardly do anything but lie there or sleep & it’s been getting worse recently.  Right now I’m basically a zombie with no life & I do not want to remain like that any more.

did i tell you that i randomly quit my job on friday? no? well i did.

spur of the moment shit. walked into work ran into my roommate (what a coincindence!) and then was like “let’s go home lol jk not really jk”

and she was like okay. and then we awkwardly stood in the small hallway and awkwardly talked about quitting then I up and did it. i just strolled out to my boss and was like “okay bye”.

and he was like “how you pay bills? you have other job”. and i’m like “nope. idk. w/e”

and that is totally how that shit went down.

i did quit though. so did roommate. yay.

I can't believe I made it an entire season without watching teen wolf

I finally did it! I'm free from my underpaid and overworked internship! :) It feels so good to be done with it. Now on to my next journey.

I will admit, leaving my internship was hard. I kept making excuses for why I shouldn't leave because I was scared of the consequences. But that's life, sometimes you have to take risks and get out of your comfort zone for a new opportunity.

The New Year is around the corner, it's time to make it a great start.
