It’s just as well next Monday is a bank holiday in the UK so I can get ridiculously drunk before I have to stay up till 3am to watch my poor trash daddy die FOR NO REASON. I hate you, D+D.

I would love to hear from someone cleverer than me about this. Basically, if, D+D are probably killing off our dearest Petyr (probably), do we think it's a done deal in the books too? Obviously not in the same ridiculous manner, but thoughts? I know that GRRM said the books will take a different path with the same ending, but I'm just not sure Petyr is weak enough to trip up this badly in the books.

So I've just read a suggestion that Petyr is meant to be dead at this point in the books; and that's why he's just been hanging about all season, because they cut out the plot line where he dies and D+D were trying to tie the loose ends up. Sounds plausible but also lends too much credence to D+Ds terrible writing skills.
