the way sam was surprised by dean being good with kids and said “you’re like father material” to dean like the man didn’t raise sam for his whole life….

tbh it’s nice seeing our dean stan fam united around or original enemy: sam stans and codependency 

we’ve has such a time with the hellers as of late, it’s just nice to not care or focus about them for a bit and focus on the biggest enemy to dean’s life and happiness: sam and the codependency. 

as i said years ago, you cannot be a true fan of both brothers. to love dean is to in part hate sam and his role in the narrative and dean’s life and to love sam is to in part hate dean and his plight for a full and productive life. 

dean is, was, and will always be more than sam. and no, jensen saying dean would be consumed with grief more than sam so that’s why if one of them had to die, it should be dean is not confirmation that dean isn’t more than sam.

dean is more than sam’s big brother/caretaker/father-mother. dean winchester is a whole person. he always deserved his whole and fulfilled life and was abused out of it. the codependency is a symptom of abuse, not a fundamental part of his personality. 

and i mean that’s just fact
