Thinking about how more interesting Stolas as a character could have been if he was raised to view others as objects to serve him/get him what he wants, so he doesn't fully comprehend that what hes doing is bad/wrong (important note: dont take this explanation as an excuse)
Thinking about how Stolas could view the people in his life. His wife and daughter as additions to his wealthy lifestyle and Blitzø as a taste of rebellion and sexual exploration that he eventually gets addicted to: not to Blitzø, but the feeling of rebellion
Thinking more about how Stolas' royal life implicitly made him look down on the lower class, possibly contributing to how he views Blitzø in an "I dont see color" type of way
Thinking about how Blitzø was raised without many positive role models in his life, making him more susceptible to getting into these types of toxic relationships
Thinking about Blitzø's inner conflict with Stolas. Its not just about the grimoire, hes done so much for him, like getting him out of trouble with his powers. He can't be all that bad. So why does he still get nervous around him?
Thinking about how Blitzø's crude sense of humor could be a coping mechanism for what hes going through. Deflecting the dread the intercourse fills him with into comedy so he doesn't have to think about it too hard
Thinking about Stolas telling himself that hes still a good person through all of this because he "loves" Blitzø, even if his idea of love isn't truly that
