Everytime I want to draw my pc has an important update I hate this

That horrible moment when you think your laptop has crashed, and you're working from home but your first concern is whether you've lost the 4,000 words of fic you started on last weekend.
(it didn't and I hadn't, but that certainly was a stressful 30 minutes this morning)
This update was forced on me, took three hours to complete, restored the search bar that I had taken great pains to remove since it’s been irredeemably linked with Cortana, deleted my desktop background for no reason, and is all about “more ways to control my Windows experience”. More ways for Microsoft to control my Windows experience, maybe!
got bf to install my ssd and put windows 7 on it, so I can still access my games via my regular drive but now I don’t have to deal with win10
1903 has been out for THREE MONTHS, HOW have they not done anything about this yet???
I just wanted to play some andromeda and Microsoft comes and shits all over my good time
