is it weird that i sometimes think about ur restaurant AU? its not even a thing yet (assuming its still even a thing you'd wanna write)& all i have to go off is the couple times u talked about it & its like one of my fave AUs? i love the entire concept- ur take on the abo verse, alpha luke/omega ashton (which itself is just a great concept), the privilege aspect ,stubborn independent ashton, it just sounds so good. anyway its great, ur great& just know id read the shit out of it if u wrote it :)

Especially because, YES, I still think about it!!!! A lot actually!! I keep changing my mind on what to write next but that has always been one of my foremost possibilities!!!! the issue is that I keep changing up how I want it to go and I decided I want it in Luke’s pov instead and I just can’t make decisions asghjakshdjks BUT THE OVERALL STORY UGHHHHHHHHHHH

Let’s talk about it, shall we? What I’ve come up with so far is that Luke worked at a different restaurant until he transferred to this current one and not even 3 months later he gets named head waiter which is, y’know, surprising bc he’s the newest guy there but hey! He’s good at what he does except... Ashton really doesn’t sit well with this decision, and by that, he gives Luke so much attitude and evil glares and silent treatment that Luke starts hating Ashton too and he doesn’t even know why Ashton hates him (he does but he tells himself it can’t be that petty, right?) but it is that petty and if Ashton doesn’t stop making Luke look like a fool, an inadequate head waiter who shouldn’t have even been given the job at all, then Luke swears he’s gonna end up behind bars for committing murder

But they are forced to work together so they have to get along eventually, even though Luke is sure that Ashton would rather eat his own fingers than be cooperative because he’s the most stubborn omega in the Universe and with that nasty attitude it’s obviously he hasn’t been fucked in a while but who would risk getting their dick bitten off by a creature like Ashton? No one, that’s who! (This was probably all said by Luke during an angry rant bc he knows better not to say it to Ashton’s face and risk a broken nose lmao)

and one particular night, say a holiday, the restaurant is jam packed with people and 2 waiters are gone, sick with something they probably gave each other bc everyone knows they’re fucking, so it’s really difficult to keep up with orders and keep the customers satisfied and Luke feels way out of his league because they’re behind and he doesn’t know what to do but everyone is looking to him for commands bc he’s the head waiter and oh god he’s gonna fuck this up--which is when Ashton steps in and actually helps? Telling everyone what each person should do and giving Luke’s mind a temporary break and so they work together as co-head waiters?! And by the end of the night everyone is happy and satisfied with the service they received and no one angrily asked to speak with the manager?! And that’s when Luke realizes that he and Ashton make a GREAT team somehow and they really need to get along if this is gonna work out

so he offers to give Ashton a ride him (which is hesitantly accepted) and he goes against his instincts and proposes a truce! They both know that tonight would have failed if Ashton didn’t step in and help, and they both know that they work well together, SO Ashton should come over Luke’s place this upcoming weekend and Luke will make him dinner and they’ll start over as if they’d just met! (which Ashton hesitantly accepts, again)

and basically at this part I imagine it’s awkward at first because wow, even though Luke is the enemy, Ashton can admit that his place is nice and the hospitality is... adequate. And they get to talking while Luke makes the food and Ashton helps at one point and they exchange “life stories” and Ashton realizes that Luke isn’t the typical alpha, y’know, the ones who are just so overbearingly arrogant and aggressive and so damn annoying and Ashton has always had a hard time trusting alphas bc of his past experience but who knows maybe Luke isn’t so bad after all!

But one thing leads to another and Ashton’s only had 1 glass of wine but wowie he also has to admit that Luke is fairly good looking and well Luke has always thought that Ashton was beautiful beneath his crappy attitude and discrimination lmao and somehow a playful joke turns into flirtations which turns into staring at each other for several seconds and not breathing and suddenly they’re kissing and grabbing at clothes and Luke swears he never planned for tonight to end with him fucking Ashton against the counter and Ashton riding him on the goddamn kitchen floor but hey he’s definitely not complaining

(I have a handful of scenes that comes after this I just have to organize them in my head and in my notes lol but yeah then Ashton leaves the next morning and it’s hella Awkward but Luke decides he really likes Ashton and Ashton is in denial and they end up in this cycle of avoiding the elephant in the room and having lots of banter and fucking each other and Ashton always claims “This will never happen again.” but it always does lol)
