Biggest pet peeve of mine is when they change the cover of the book to look like the movie. Even if I love the movie! It's almost always replacing a very charming cover made or chosen by the author with a screenshot of some actor's face.

Like I feel like that says a lot about the movie makers priorities, like they didn’t have to show lex’s ex reuniting with her parents, they could’ve just left us to be like “that bitch” and never think of her again after she tried to get Superman in trouble but they didn’t, they made sure she had some character and humanity outside of that.
