URGENT POST: if you have migraines, astigmatism, binocular vision dysfunction, seizures, or any kind of photosensitivity, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR IPHONE TO IOS 26.1. The redesign of the user interface is triggering nausea, migraines, vertigo, and other issues for many many people worldwide, but especially those with the conditions I listed above. I was up all night last night with nausea after using my phone for 30 minutes.

Something about the glass effect they added, plus the redesign of the apps, everything looks blurry and appears to shake. I experience incredible eye strain looking at my Home Screen now and it is making me very physically ill. Don’t even risk it. Hopefully Apple resolves this ASAP. You can contact them about this issue at [email protected].

I’ve fiddled with the settings as much as I can to reduce harm but I’m still getting sick looking at it. My nausea meds didn’t even touch the nausea either. It’s bad, guys.

Go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Reduce transparency,

back to Accessibility -> Motion -> Reduce Motion.

Those are the two I did at least.
