The TikTok account appeared on a rainy Thursday evening with a simple green icon and the bio “Keep up with the Bats”. It was one of hundreds of similar accounts, which usually did nothing more than show blurry pictures of vigilantes and tell dramatic stories in voice-over. There was nothing about it that stood out.
Except for one thing.
Oracle.

The Batkids bully Batman into letting them have a TikTok account. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
Hi! I just wanted to let you know I love your cloudwalker series!! I come back frequently and re-read my favorite chapters. I know you haven’t updated this blog in a while, and I hope you have been alright!!
First of thank you for checking up on me. I do not remember the last time I used this site, honestly, there certainly wasn't tips last time I posted on here that's for sure. I may have fell off the face of the earth for a little while since the adult world and work smacked me in the face with a bat and then kept smacking and tbh it still is 🤦♂️
HOWEVER, I am really glad that you like the Cloudwalker Series and I have decided-like literally yesterday- that I'm going to make it an actual story to publish. Hopefully that's good news to everyone who likes the series. There will be quite minor tweaks, the whump will be reduced a teeeeeny bit and the plot cranked to full power. The only reason I've even seen this post is because I was reading through all my stuff and forgot what half my characters even looked like. So yeah I'm doing okay, and I'm determined to see this through, so fingers crossed 😅☺️
Lloyd led the way with deceptively sure steps, trailed closely by Cole’s heavier gait. Kai kept pace with a worn look, his anger now simmered down to concern for their missing teammate.
Once Echo had shut down for a restart, the ice blanketing the island began to retreat. It melted along their slow path to the temple. The leafy plants around them, once coated in frost, seemed unperturbed.
Even so, white swirls and patterns still coated the temple as it came into view.
Lloyd watched as his breath fogged out into the icy air.
The first time they’d entered the temple, noise had echoed around them, amplified and boosted, as if emphasizing the world he was supposed to protect. This time, surrounded by frost and snow, it was muffled. No birdsong infiltrated the walls, no buzzing of flies or croaking of frogs. The rest of the island was hot, muggy and humid. Here, the ice created an arctic cocoon. Silent, calm, and cold.
A fitting place for a master of ice to rest.
Cole stepped forward with an echoey snap as his boot cracked the ice. He gave an uneasy look over his shoulder and braced against the top of the casket. He strained against the ice before a warm orange glow traced up his arms, and the ice gave with a hiss of steam and snapping crystals.
“There you are, buddy.”
His gentle whisper echoed around them as he checked over their brother’s form.
Zane wasn’t one for exaggerated or overemotional expressions. Even so, a small smile graced his face, framed by frozen tracks of ice trailing from his eyes. He’d rested well, had laid down safe in the knowledge that everything would be alright.
Soon it would be.
Cole reached in, gently maneuvering Zane’s head to rest against his shoulder. Zane’s metal body was heavy, and even Cole’s superhuman arms tensed under his weight. The nindroid’s leg swung out of his resting place with a clang, and Cole sucked in a sharp breath before gathering him closer. He carefully turned back to the others with his precious cargo.

Ramses pored over the notes with several of Fer’s students, explaining their contents while the latter tuned out. Walking row by row, the Oracle took to observing their imitation of the various sigils and glyphs and witnessing the reactions produced as a result of their completion. Despite the occasional blast of warpfire or small, unidentifiable warp entity being summoned before being promptly banished elsewhere, Fer tuned out through all of it and eventually fell asleep as was usual. Once Ramses was certain the ArchMagister was asleep, he looked to the students and smiled brightly before presenting the feather of some warp beast and beginning towards Fer.
“And for our closing lecture, a lesson in situational awareness.”
you were good—still are, Mal; it’s just that both you and Gordon... you were both in a very stressful situation. Things happen, some more regretful than others, but maybe if you keep pushing onwards, you might find yourself some proper answers
