my hottest and most controversial take will alienate all of my beloved mutuals </3 i am sorry friends but I can only speak the truth

#and the truth is: despite the environmental impact golf is actually really really fun #i miss it a lot #(played for 4 years in high school to try to get a scholarship bc it was the sports with the best odds of womens scholarships in my region)#it was also the lowest pressure of any of the sports offered at my school and my coach was really nice #i genuinely made so many friends through it bc it's a great low-pressure way to walk around and talk to people for a couple hours #like u have things to do (hitting the ball) but u can also just stroll and see birds and flowers and stuff #idk. i just really loved it #i think my region also tends to probably have a lower environmental impact for golf courses than like.. arizona or cali or whatever #i get that it's not great but like.. i personally love it and it was so much fun legit some of my best memories from being a teen #my area also had a decent amount of opportunities to get the clubs very cheap and the school had equipment you could rent out #and people under 18 could golf at any courses for very very little (i think around the price of a coffee when I was doing it)#i miss it..#i'm sorry mutuals <3
