first off, sorry for the lateness, i have been trying to fix my sleep schedule, (and failed anyway lol)
secondly, this is the longest i think i've survived any art challenge,, this isn't my first foray into drawing something everyday for the practice but i usually would've burnt out completely by now and go offline for another hundred years. specifically from having one singular piece blow up in a specific style i tried, and feeling like i'd have to deliver that or else i'm a fraud. But this time I decided to do this on a whim, for no one, zero pressure, just for me. just to keep from stagnating, doing all the experiments i loved and not be bogged down by giving the people what they supposedly want.
So imagine my surprise when people have been so sweet and supportive, despite it all. even as each doodle everyday turns out vastly different, people show up and still like it. granted, maybe because it is just nightcrawler and i know the power of blorbos, but my point is something that really hit for me... turns out when you actually make art that comes from your heart, people will naturally gravitate. vice versa, if you just make something just to make something and slog through it, people will also notice and like it less. a younger version of me would've fallen back into chasing what style had blown up more and would've doubled down into it, but not this time.
i always get so worried about how inconsistent i am but here i was being proven wrong.
kind of made me realize I actually do like doing art. that i love art. that i love being an artist.
bleh, whatever, i think the sleep deprivation is getting me particularly sappy. i dont even know if i got my feelings across in writing too well. just have mr. wagner and go, shoo :)
I usually say things about my art. But this time. I do not have a single thing to say, not a word to describe. Not a single reason to justify. The creation of this.
i think perhaps part of the reason i don’t really get into fandom (besides the fact that i just don’t have the energy for it i guess) is that i just. don’t get shipping. i think it’s an aromantic thing. like i’ll see ship art and be like oh character’s here oh and other character they look cool individually i’ll reblog this but i don’t like. get it. like ethubs is funny to joke about but in the end to me it’s just a joke. idk. thinking.
