Okay, but... the closet scene was a happy scene.

Was it a in-your-face-scene? Yes. You cannot put two boys in a closet in a queer series without it meaning something, and maybe it is foreshadowing, maybe it prophets something more tragic later one, but in this moment, in this scene: it was fun.

It was a smiley, happy scene, in which Wang mimics his dad (and points out all the ways his dad is supportive of him) while Tian smiles and teases and they giggle and they both know even if Wang's dad came into the room it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Elliott headcanon # 989-b

- is extremly attracted to ‘academic behavior’ -> e.g. seeing the farmer muse over ancient artifacts, hearing their insights on classic literature or being genuinly interested in visiting museums

- frowns over purposefully dog-earing books, cracked spines and other ways of ‘abusing’ literature

- dramatic king. Will be extremly dramatic in daily life over a broken mug, spilled salt or really anything. Bonus points if he can involve superstitions in this.

-> this applies only if he’s in a good mood though and it’s all in silly, light-hearted fashion. When he’s in a bad mood and something breaks or whatever, he’ll just sigh and take care of it or might go into an annoyed stupor if a lot of things go wrong in a day
