Ooh @roth70 @asurrogateblog I think I've really cooked with this one! Inspired by this guy on Reddit who pretty cleverly fit melodies from Little Bird onto Child Is Father Of The Man to make it a more finished track, and I wanted to see if I could make a good proof-of-concept mashup using my own vocals. First verse is BWPS lyrics, second verse is by Dae Lims.
Been wanting to record myself singing Surf's Up, and this is my go at doing it all in one take with no dubs and in almost the original key, which really made me appreciate just how incredible Brian's voice was and the intricacy of his melodies.
What I wanna see is a man who is real enough to do a cover of the song with these lyrics
Alright, since there is only one (1) Groundhog Day instrumental track out there currently, I decided to do a cover of If I Had My Time Again doing both parts. And as you will hear in this, it is a really damn hard song to sing and took several takes before I was fairly satisfied with it, which is why I sound a bit winded on Rita’s parts. It definitely goes hard though!
So uh I did what I promised and covered Biggering
Yaaaaay I finally did a cover of Hope I’m satisfied with! Hope my mic doesn’t sound too bad here.
This is me singing Rita’s solo section of One Day! I changed some lines and pronouns just slightly to suit my AU where Phil is played by Jenn Colella or me in 20 years and Rita’s dream knight in shining armor is a bit more gender-neutral. Didn’t change them all though because I feel like bi Rita, while open to being with a woman, feels she’s more likely to end up with a guy if anyone.
When I was 11, I was in a choir and we sang Africa by Toto. I’m in the bottom right corner, song starts at 1:03 cause we did this cheesy intro where we all made the sounds of a storm or something, and I have a fun solo part at the end starting at 4:03 and I do a riff that I still think sounds pretty nice.
