Intersex culture is initially doubting I am intersex because my condition- growth hormone deficiency- isn't officially nor widely recognized as an intersex condition, but explaining how it affects me and why I feel as though I am intersex from it and having other intersex people both online and at my university's transgender student organization embrace me with open arms and say that GHD can and should totally count as being intersex and now being happy to label myself as such and taking pride in my identity after feeling like I was faking it or lying at first.
