Misfire: (def?) To fail to achieve the intended result.
it starts with a spark, and ends with a misfire.
the spark:
"you need confidence to drive a formula one car for sure-" liam starts, lights of the interview room blaring down on him. he blinks past it all, even though the flourescents have the potential to give him a headache later.
his smile has been on the whole time, which has been pretty easy to maintain, a thing he's not really used too. he usually has to work to keep the politeness on, something he knows everyone who deals with media has to put up with.
but today its easy, the excitement of the interviewers leaking over into liam.
they keep saying it, over and over, as if they were the ones with the seat instead of liam. but he doesn't mind, its nice to have people around him that are as excited as he is about this whole thing.
liam lawson, the oracle red bull racing driver.
its a sentence from his dreams, thas what he would tell them. but he always knew he could get here. formula one was the end goal, always the end goal, and theres no other place he could imagine ending up.
at this point so many things could've gone wrong, gone awry. his luck could've run out at any moment, if the money stopped to coming in, if the results stopped being as impressive.
but it didnt, liam seemed to have an endless amount of luck and chance clearing his path, at this point it seemed impossible that he wouldn't get the seat.
they keep rambling, back and forth, back and forth, banter and fun quesions and liam's smile doesn't dissapear for a moment of it.
if you need confidence to drive a formula one car, then with all the comments swirling around about his big head and arrogance, liam will be just fine.
liam lawson. the visa cash app racing bulls driver.
its a mouthful.
its exactly the misfire you were expecting.
