I write and draw quite a lot, and have a BUNCH of wips always on the burner so any questions on them or my current fics are 100% welcome and encouraged! I’m a whore for conversation, what can I say.

I am cheering for a George WDC, but Antonelli-antis are not appreciated around here so begone! (If it can’t be George then I will be overjoyed for Kimi to win it!)

my other team is VCARB. (including Isack, he’s a VCARB at heart) and you will frequently find me on the grounds fighting for Liam, and Arvid. I am someday hoping for a 2019 rookie podium, (calling and Etsy witch to rid Alex of his bad luck,) and frequently enjoy Franco doing well.

F1 Academy, I am captivated by Ella Loyd and Alisha Palmowaski. I derive great enjoyment from their season and driving so far!!

F2, Alex Dunne fan. Would cheer more for Tsolov if I wasn’t terrified of Liam losing his seat because of his absolute SEASON of F2 he’s been putting in. Also a Dino enjoyer, do with that what you will.

MotoGP. Constantly being terrorized emotionally by Rosquez and Sharks n’ Roses, hardcore cheering for Bez Championship.

Just read chapter 10 of bros before hoes (for others this contains spoilers) and it is insane I love it and can’t wait for everyone’s reactions (to an extent more Logan, Michael and even Daniel as the grid is so different to what they know) also I hope you don’t give us this just to rip it away again, though tbf I know pleading with an author to not torture the characters is like pleading a car to fly, it won’t happen but if you try hard enough it may trick you into thinking it will before pulling the rug out from under your feet. Anyway sorry for the ramble/rant.

but narratively, they are to integral to the plot and livelihood of the other characters, sooner or later they're going to come the the realization (upsetting or no) that they don't belong in 2026.

The apartment was silent.

Not truly silent.

Someone was breathing too fast.

A door slammed shut somewhere to their left.

The refrigerator hummed quietly in the kitchen.

But the silence still felt wrong.

Luke couldn't move.

His knees were pressed into the floor. His hands were still clamped over the wound in Gabriele's chest, slick with blood that had long since soaked through his fingers.

He knew.

He knew it wasn't doing anything anymore.

Still, he couldn't make himself stop.

If he moved his hands, then it was real.

Across the room, Paul stood frozen.

Staring.

Just staring.

Gabriele was lying on his back.

Completely still.

No sarcastic comment.

No complaint.

No threat to chase someone around the building.

Nothing.

The sight made something twist violently in Paul's chest.

Because this wasn't supposed to happen.

Gabriele was supposed to be annoying.

He was supposed to be loud.

He was supposed to get back up.

Luke swallowed hard.

"He didn't mean-"

"Don't."

The word cut through the room.

Luke looked up.

Paul was still staring at Gabriele.

His jaw was clenched so tightly it looked painful.

"Paul-"

"I said don't."

His voice cracked.

For a moment, Paul squeezed his eyes shut.

Then he laughed.

Short.

Sharp.

Completely humourless.

"You said we could trust them."

Luke flinched.

Paul finally looked at him.

"Said Albon trusted you, that they wouldn't come after us, remember?"

"Listen–"

"You said maybe they weren't all bad."

Every word grew sharper.

"You said maybe we could work together."

Luke looked down.

His hands were red.

Everything was red.

"Look where that got us."

The words hung in the air.

Luke didn't answer.

He couldn't.

Paul stood there for another second before looking away.

The nearest door was still shut.

The one Kimi had disappeared behind.

For a moment, Paul considered it.

Considered kicking it open.

Considered dragging him back out and demanding an explanation that wouldn't change anything.

Then his gaze landed on Gabriele again.

And the anger drained out of him.

Slowly, Paul crossed the room and stopped beside Dino.

"Dino."

Nothing.

Dino didn't look up.

Paul swallowed.

"Dino..."

Paul lowered himself to sit against the wall beside him.

"We'll find Arvid."

The words sounded weak the second they left his mouth.

The apartment was silent. The apartment was never silent, it was never-

There was always noise, always laughter and shenanigans of all sorts. Or battles, or revelations. Something. There was always something to fill the void of silence that seemed to be a constant in their hearts.

But the apartment was silent.

Alex had his arms wrapped around Kimi's torso, his tight pin nearly depriving Kimi of breath in his lungs. But he wasn't really focused on that, breathing.

He was focused on the silence, and the faint ringing that had started in his ears.

And the gun in his hand.

The warm metal was rested in his palm, which had begun to sweat from holding the object so tightly. He could feel it as if it were his own skin.

If he listened close enough, past the metal in his palm, past the ringing in the air and past the silence. Kimi swore he could hear the boy he'd shot gasp for breath on the other side of the door.

Alex was dragging him further and further away from it, so he's not sure how. But he can just feel it down to his bones.

Was this how Isack felt?

This sense of dread, this feeling of the world coming to a halt around you. The feeling in your bones, past the logic in your head that he's killed someone.

Kimi, a kid from North Italy. A kid who was never meant for something as small as shoplifting, killed another kid.

Maybe Isack felt different, he'd shot Mick Doohan, not some kid who was just.

Who was making a mistake.

"What did you do, Kimi. What did you do??" Alex whispered in his ear, panicked. Eyes wide and on the door, but for some reason he wasn't running in there to check up on the kid.

Oh, right.

He thought Kimi was going to shoot more of them, didn't he?

But. Kimi isn't- he did it for a reason. He shot him for a reason, he wouldn't just shoot someone for no reason.

Would he?

Because Kimi is one of the good guys, and they had tried to take Franco for who knows what reason.

(It was revenge, or emotionally irrationality Kimi's mind supplied, but he tried to push it far away.)

He did what he did, to protect Franco.

He's convinced of it.

But as he looks around at the faces of his friends, at the blood splattered on Franco's face, the kids blood-

Kimi is less sure of himself.

But he can't think that way for too long.

A kid is dead, because of Kimi.

And they have to live with that.

since you asked so nicely:

things went down a little bit like this,

Lewis had set up a team meeting, goal number one? hunt down Toto and get him out of Monaco. he didn't want to turn to any sort of lethal option, as Toto hadn't caused much destruction other than emotional to the grid.

he set up a team meeting to coordinate people around the area where Toto was last seen. they'd narrowed down a couple possible locations, and made plans to split and attack them all in one night. catch Toto by surprise.

a surprise was needed, as they were missing people. Daniel and Max had gone off to Australia and weren't showing much sign of coming back soon.

Logan sat in on this meeting with Oscar. and he knew all of this.

Logan, unlike Oscar, wasn't given an assigned team. and when he went to Lewis to ask why not... Lewis told him the truth. That Logan wasn't ready, and that they wanted to avoid any unnecessary death/injury to the Grid.

Lewis suggested that Logan stay in the med-bay with Alex, and that was that. (George of course helped Lewis make the desicion, partially because he's seen Logans... skill level in the previous missions, and also because he didn't want to see Alex upset if one of his close friends got hurt. So he did what he always did, damage control.)

Logan is, upset. To say the least. It feels like a punch in the face to him and everything he's worked for. Oscar gets to go and be a hero, while Logan is left at home, even though he's confident he can handle Toto. He's not given the chance to prove it.

So he makes his own chance.

A day before the Grid is set to attack Toto, Logan leaves in the night. He steals a pistol from Oscar and leaves in the middle in the night, Because maybe if he is able to take down Toto, if he can save everyone. Then they'd trust him, he'd prove himself. He'd no longer be on the sidelines.

Except, three things happen.

Alex sees Logan leaving.

Oscar notices his pistol missing.

Mick Doohan contacts Toto to give the Grid a larger distraction. And wires him 1 Million to kill a well-connected member of the Grid. Whoever Toto can get his hands on first.

Alex and Oscar meet up and go after Logan.

Logan marches into Toto's bases, searching through all of them methodically, looking for his target. While he's searching for Toto he runs across many components of Toto's... plans. For the Grid.

Toto isn't just in it for the money after all, he never is.

Another bit of information, there are no cameras in Toto's personal office. He always has them removed. Probably for privacy reasons, but also because he's a Mafia Boss. And there's something poetic about people walking into his office and never walking out.

Logan's last known location, the last time he was caught on camera was the hallway camera leading to Toto's office.

He doesn't come out.

Thirty minutes later, Oscar and Alex arrive, doing a split search of the base. Alex enters Toto's office, five minutes later, Oscar enters. Neither leave the office for hours.

The last thing caught on that camera is George coming to disable it, and Lewis striding down the hall, towards the office. Panicked.

There isn't video evidence of Logans body being removed from the building, But maybe that's for the better.

Alex doesn't need video to remind him what a dead Logan looked like.

Caught up with the 2nd Chapter of your Isekai fic, I hope this makes you feel sad, or idk very fluffy about these two. This is the conversation that I imagine OG them had before the switch. Kind of a long one—

—

"You think there's a universe in which I'm not French?" Isack perked up from the other side of the hotel room.

Aka, on the floor near the foot of the bed.

"Isack, we have a race tomorrow. Please stop going on about random things."

Liam looked up from his phone just in time to see his former teammate gripping the end of the mattress and staring at him with the exact expression of a cat demanding attention.

"No, no, think about it, Li. What if you're not from New Zealand?"

"Then I'm not from New Zealand, Zack."

Isack immediately pouted.

Liam had no idea why.

A few seconds passed.

Then-

"If we met in that universe," Isack said thoughtfully, "you'd not have your accent and your charm."

Liam blinked.

"...What?"

"And I'd meet a way more boring version of you."

Liam lowered his phone.

"Wait, so you–"

The other cut him off.

"Like when I first met you, you had this whole surfer-boy thing going on," Isack continued, completely ignoring him. "It's cute. Especially because you act like a dog sometimes, so it's hilarious whenever the VCARB admin does the whole good-boy thing and you get annoyed about it."

Liam stared.

Isack kept talking.

"And I think if you weren't from New Zealand you'd probably be less funny, too. You'd still be Liam, but a different Liam. Like a factory reset version."

Liam was no longer listening.

Did Isack just call him cute?

"-and then maybe I'd be American," Isack continued. "Which would be terrible for everyone involved."

Did Isack technically call him charming?

"Actually no, maybe I'd be British. That's somehow worse."

Does he know he's adorable when he goes on talking like this?

"Li?"

Liam looked up.

Isack was frowning at him.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Liam considered several possible answers.

Unfortunately, all of them sounded suspiciously like because I'm in love with you

[Ofc Isack didnt call him cute and charming directly while meaning to- but its close enough for Liam.]

"Do you ever think about the other worlds out there?"

The comment had come out of nowhere, or at least, nowhere for Liam. He didn't typically contemplate the state of the wider multiverse when eating a meatball sub on top of the empire state building.

But clearly, Isack was built different.

"Can't say I have?" He replied, setting his food down in his lap and looking over at Isack, the sky was reflecting into his brown eyes in a way that made them shine.

God, he was perfect.

"Well. I dunno. I've just been kinda going over it all in my head." Isack says, turning to meet Liam's eye abruptly.

"Like, what if you were British or something."

Liam thought about it for a second,

"Y'know, you can just tell me you have a thing for accents man." He says back, and quickly has to duck out of the way of a slice of ham.

Thrown at his head, by Isack of course.

Not that Liam would object to a food fight on a high rise, it had just been a long day. And his sub was really good.

"That's not what I mean asshole." Isack says,

"Then what do you mean?" Liam replies, and that makes his partner pause for a moment.

Just a moment, of blissful silence.

"Like in the other worlds, I think we would still meet."

"Oh?"

Isack nods, eyebrows furrowed and deep in thought, " Yes. We would still meet. But it'd be different. We wouldn't have superpowers, I don't think at least. And you'd be a lot more pathetic." Isack continued before pausing, thinking harder.

"Wait--"

"Like, you wouldn't be awesome. You're so hot when you go around saving civilians and all that. But in this other universe, maybe you'd just be some rich asshole who couldn't care less about anyone." Isack rambles before pausing for breath.

And Liam may need to talk to him about his priorities while out on the field if he's watched him save enough people to consider it hot,

"Maybe you'd be an asshole, but I bet you'd be funny too. Cause right now you're more of a stupid funny." Isack paused again, and Liam was beginning to like where this conversation was headed less and less, "Unintentional right? Maybe you'd, like, be able to take a joke in the other universe."

Isack quickly shot out a web and nabbed a meatball from Liam's sub, Liam being unable to save his food from being stolen along with being left off-kilter from the berate of... insults? From Isack.

"Maybe I'd be the same though. Something cool, and nonchalant. Inspiring you to be less of a rich loser while I'm at it and-- shit!" Isack starts again before Liam grabs his wrist and pulls him closer, leading to his lover dropping the meatball.

"What was that--"

Liam stops Isacks talk with a small kiss.

"What were you saying about me being hot?" He whispers when they take a small break for air, before they both get back into it.

Isack is pretty quiet the rest of the night.

Could you do a fic or tumblr lore drop of what happened between max and George in Qatar in the Monaco grid universe, I’d be really interested as to what had happened and why specifically it means they hate each other so much(if you’ve explained it before sorry I may have missed it or forgotten if you could link it)

OKAY, okay.

so in the final chapter of The "Apartment" Complex, Kimi tries to make George and Max figure out their shit after they get into a fight in the lobby after antagonizing each other over text. Their 'explanation' of the situation is that Max made some threatening statements towards George in Qatar, causing George to lose confidence in Max as a viable mission partner. They got into some life threatening situation then, exchanged some "words" and from then on have to be physically separated because they are so hostile to one another.

when Alex tried to get George to apologize to Max, it was when Max had gotten back from Australia (after Daniel) so it did not land well.

in the first chapter of Bros Before Hoes, Charles is being unnaturally hostile towards George, it being revealed that Max had gone to therapy and came back from one of the sessions emotionally distressed before presumably confiding in Charles what happened with George.

we don't know any specifics on anything though, each side not talking about it publicly, instead resorting to violence.

of course, George has some insane guilt around people dying as well as having some very strong opinions on the way Max handles things. neither Max or George are morally above blackmail either, so it's a very interesting situation with the two of them...
