Eugene let out a small huff. Looked like their lazy morning was going to be cut a little short. Which was kind of shame. He moved to shift closer to Rapunzel on the bed beside him. Reaching an arm to wrap around her and draw her in close to him as he half curled into her. Smiling as she let out a sound that was mix of a content hum and a sleepy giggle at the motion. He ducked into her neck, letting his morning stubble tickle at her skin, earning a few more giggles. He kissed at her jawline as she stretched slightly. “They’re coming for us.” Eugene warned with a whisper in her ear. “I know.” Rapunzel said easily.

Spike loves his sister but is torn between wanting her to stay around and not wanting to see her at all because he's terrified to do anything to upset her and feels incredibly guilty for what happened to her. Having her around gives him hope he might be able to make up for some of it but also makes him see himself as more of a monster for existing because he became a vampire. Seeing her makes him feel worse about his past (as a soulless vamp) than his soul alone ever has. He wants to make her understand his situation but at the same time he just wants her to forgive him and pretend he's just William still.
