     Let’s take stock. Bleeding head wound, general scrapes and bruises, bleeding from the left ear, twisted ankle, and what looks like a broken rib. Someone put this guy through the ringer.

   “ No no no no no no... Please... “ As visions and breakdowns go, this is about par for the course. Quick breathing, hands gripping his head and hair, tears welling in his eyes and the voices. Christ, the voices. They get so loud that he can’t tell how loud he’s being.

     It’s his first couple of weeks living here. This cute guy and he really doesn’t want to mess it up. He’s already regretting what’s happening. He sobered up overnight and the old ones got to him. Those angry, loud ones from the mausoleum. They’re probably not even really there anymore, they were probably attached to that place, tied there with their bodies and possessions. But they still haunt him, and he hates that pun.

   “ I CAN’T HELP YOU! “ He shouts, curling forward still clutching his head. Way to wake up.
