Everyone's A Critic || Ichabod&Tanya
Despite being on a well deserved break, Ichabod's phone periodically lit up with notifications from his publicist. She wanted to know how he was doing, if he was writing any, if he had any ideas on how long his little vacation was going to take. All questions he didn't feel like answering. He was supposed to be relaxing. Not worrying about his next book. By his own timeline he had plenty of time before he absolutely had to sit down and write something.
Alexis was never satisfied, though. Constantly scared that he was going to be placeholder word.
But today was all about relaxation. He was determined. Had even booked a nice little stay at the Hauntley Inn. It was only for two days but it was away from his apartment and he'd left his cell on do not disturb to hopefully send a clear message to Alexis.
The only thing he hadn't counted on was the Hauntely Inn being, well, haunted. Thankfully not all of the ghosts wanted to have conversations with him. There'd been a lovely old woman named Maude who had looked at him forlornly before walking away and then a young boy who'd given him a devilish grin before taking off down the hall. But for the most part, they kept to themselves. Which was completely fine by him.
Until that same boy decided to follow Ichabod around as he meandered the hallways asking the same question again and again, not caring how annoyed it seemed Ichabod got.
"Look, kid. I already told yous. I don't know. I don't know who won the World Cup in that year. I don't even follow soccer." He huffed as he turned a corner, not seeing the other younger being hovering at the end of the hall.
