I hc that she cut off her hair because whenever she looks into the mirror, all she sees is her dead son, who she had "failed" as a mother.

What if Ryoko went to identify Baji's body and she had a ponytail on as well. After she got home, she cut all of the hair off and had a two hour meltdown in the bathroom until Chifuyu came over to apologize for not being there for her son.

After Chifuyu left, the apartment was oddly quiet and she remembers all the times that she bickered with Baji or fought with him. Then she has another meltdown, because instead of a quiet home, she prefers a loud and chaotic one. Just because the chaotic home is much more lively than the quiet one.

I haven't read the story since chapter three. *shrugs* I got too busy because I was trying to memorize a seven paged music piece and took a break from fanfiction, and then by the time I came back after having learned it (and it was horrible. I wanted to burn it. BURN IT INTO ASH) I just didn't feel like reading it. Maybe I'll go back to it, but I've read so many 'character-loses-memory' fics too.
