Guau, imagined being Medkit, one day you friend ,(who you see like a brother), comes to you home and he ask you for medical advice.
You probably think it will some kind of injury or physical strain from training so much, but he star to descrive symptoms of poisoning (even show you his arm with green veins).
Worst if Sword start to spit or cough up blood or faint (sorry I don't know other symptoms of poisoning).
And sorry for my bad english, isn't my first language
It's alright, I understand what you're getting at!!
Now I'm going to tag the emetophobia because I am going to go into. That. So be warned now.
I think some symptoms vary depending on the different kind of poisoning we're talking about. For example, food poisoning (usually when food is prepared improperly) can have symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea. But, say it was more like snake venom. I think this would probably be more uh correct??? For lack of better term. In the situation. Keep in mind I am looking at multiple different articles for some of the info I'm spouting (and also giving info from experience, food poisoning sucks lmfao).
The effects I said would happen to Venomshank (the paralysis in areas affected by the venom on Sword) actually sort of match up with elapid venom (which can cause a person to be rigid or limp. In this case, it would be limp [for Venomshank. He also loses feeling in areas affected]). And the effects on Sword (problems with the circulatory system) match up with the effects of viper venom (which can cause bleeding and/or blood clotting issues [which does end up happening after a certain point for Sword]).
I'm not sure if Medkit would first be able to connect the symptoms Sword has with the symptoms of being bitten by a viper. I mean, Medkit has been in Lost Temple multiple times (I assume, he's part of the cult that's there but lives in Crossroads. He probably has been there multiple multiple times) and I used to live in a desert like region??? And there were RATTLESNAKES!! Rattlesnake venom is categorized under viper venom, so Medkit has probably seen what it looks like when someone is bitten by one. So his first reaction upon seeing the effects on Sword is to guess rattlesnake bite. Maybe he tries to find the bite or ask Sword where he was bitten. And how/why, he assumes Sword is smart enough not to provoke a venomous snake to bite him.
What would most confuse him is the green under his skin following along the lines of his veins. I made that part up (I made all of it up because fantasy world lol but I'm now trying to connect it to real affects, that makes it fun) so it's not really supposed to make all that much sense from a truly medical standpoint. Good thing I'm not a medical professional. But the green along his veins is definitely going to confuse Medkit and yeah.
Uhhhhh I don't know what else to add to this?? Sorry anon my mind is BLANK right now. Idk what to add to this specifically but don't be afraid to ask more about this. I enjoy getting asks about this.
And if I'm spouting incorrect information, let me know and I'll try to fix it??? Here's the source I was using for the venom stuff: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/what-does-snake-venom-do-to-you.html
