It’s alright. Very protective of JC and YZY, which is irksome, but otherwise it’s fine. I never actually got around to watching the second season (keep meaning to and then forgetting), but apparently there’s a cute scene with baby JL and Yiling-laozu at one point (some sort of dream sequence or something I think?). Basically if I controlled the adaptation process it’s not how I would have done it, but it’s pretty good. Audio drama is better but to be fair that is an exceptionally high bar to clear.
