You’re acting like comics are the crucible. The end all be all of the information about a character that’s come to exist in other media. You want me to pick up a comic and base my judgment singularly off of that? How about Secret Empire where they make Frank a Nazi? Nah?
Fine, How about we just root ourselves in the good ol’ 616, Daredevil #182 where Frank stops a drug ring at the behest of a cop, and finds out they were using kids to peddle their shit, and he kills them all because it’s the right thing to do (from where he stands, morally).
Or shit, Punisher annual volume #1, where he works with David! Like in the show! and they work together to bring down a drug and crime syndicate. Not motivated by the death of a woman, but because IT’S WHAT HE DOES. HE PUNISHES PEOPLE. IT’S LITERALLY IN THE NAME. Last I checked he wasn’t on the revengers.
So, instead of patronizing me (I assume because I’m a woman interested in a Marvel character), how about you back the hell off. And, for the record, I probably own more comics than you so wipe the cheeto dust off your keyboard and let me criticize media I love for engaging in problematic storylines.
