I'm 20 today!! I had to work today, but it's all cool.

Allow me to get sentimental for a moment, because I'm just so... happy... to be entering a new decade of my life and leave the last one behind. The last 3 years of my life were so shitty, I was suicidal on and off, was miserable at school, and dropped out and took forever to be at peace with that decision. I honestly never thought I would turn 20, because I used to think that I would seriously harm myself before I ever got here. Now I am stable on my medications and have an interview for my dream job as an educator at a Zoo tomorrow morning. Last night I had a delicious dinner surrounded by my family and best friends and laughed so loud that my stomach hurt. For the first time in years I feel alive and ready for my future. I am at peace with myself.

Birthday Bitch Y’all

So I’ve been really quiet for the past week because I fucked up my neck and it hurts so badly that I don’t really want to interact with people, but it was my birthday yesterday. I turned 20, which is an unbelievably huge, massive, extremely important thing because 8 years ago I was given 4 months to live, but here the fuck I am. Fingers crossed for making it to 21 (I’ve been given an estimate of a year left but tbh wouldn’t be the first time I blew life expectancy away), bc I really wanna drink legally and also celebrate my first anniversary with my wife in July 2020.
