FP SPOILER BUT I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS.
I need you all to know that the only reason LO is now speedrunning Hades and Persephone's relationship into marriage is so Rachel can have the dumbass bragging rights of having them get married Valentine's Day weekend IRL.
That's it. That's the only reason.
We've had the sneaking suspicion the last couple weeks that this was the case after seeing the setup for it in the last few FP episodes but now Rachel has essentially confirmed it:
(She did the same thing with the shopping spree makeout episode in S2 btw.)
It's not gonna be worth rushing her story just so she can say she "did something neat". It's not gonna be worth having the bragging rights to the 1% of the reading audience who follows the comic in real time. It's not gonna be worth it if/when S3 makes it to print and people are wondering why the fuck the story is getting rushed so quickly. Never mind the fact that she could have made it just as "interesting" to save the wedding scene until spring, or next winter, or, y'know, when it would make more sense to have it within the context of the story's narrative progression.
It's not profound. It's not smart. It's not clever. It's just torching her own comic into the ground further because her priorities are so ridiculously out of whack she thinks all this is worth it so she can say "look at me! I uploaded the wedding episode on Valentine's Day! Aren't I such a great writer? It's so deep and profound!"
It's not. It's just silly.
